excellent. this should be interesting...
Nice video 🎉
If you are good with caldari the tax will be less tho Just saying 😅
hey man played eve alot back in earlies 2010 ... is it worth coming back ?
I'd say it's worth a try. There's been a lot of quality improvements and changes. Of course it depends on what you liked doing before. The biggest thing I think that changed are the improvements to Faction Warfare.
I got bored 4 minutes in .. thumbs down.. message lost
You have a skill Black Market Trading trained to Level 4 which I can't find in Eve doing a search. How did you get that?
It's a inactive skill which was around in 2006 when EVE still made boosters illegal and it reduces the detection chance by Concord on your ship. It's an interesting artifact now but doesn't do anything.
Going to be honest man. You gotta find a way to condense this info into a shorter format if you want more viewers.
Why
@Goochigoop because we are all going to die one day. And I litteraly felt myself getting older during the maaaasive pauses he takes in most of his scentences. Not to mention all the fluff that doesn't communicate anything new.
He talks fine, easy to listen to.
@@Goochigoop he is giving lot of unnecessary details can be more to the point
the volume could be upped 10-15 % standings mechanics are semi complex in eve so its nice with a guide like this about it for new players or returning old players.
more like 50 to 100% lol but yeah good material

Good stuff, thanks. Time to go check for DED station agents.
@4:00 It's not 16 missions give or take. It's exactly 16 of the same level and for the same faction. It's actually quite important in certain situations. Storyline missions increase standings a lot. When you deliver your 16th regular mission, the games search for the *closest* storyline agent for the faction. Which means, if the storyline agent you're interested is in an inconvenient position, with only one agent close by, you can run 15 missions (say level 3, Caldari) whereever it's convenient for you. Then, you run one for only the agent closest to the storyline agent. This way you can raise standings fast with a corp even if it doesn't have convenient agents, as long as you have access to agents for of the same faction.
Thank you for the information! Great to know when it comes to the factions standings in EVE. 🙂
At the same time, if you are griding standings with a particular corporation, doing some research to find a mission agent with the nearest storyline agent of the same corporation is handy since the storyline mission will boost both faction and corp standings. (though finding those perfect spots does take some research on dotlan)
This aspect is making me reconsider where I "base" myself from. I got a storyline mission, that involved attacking ships of other factions and I suspect I will keep getting them, if I stay where I am. Not a fan :(.
@@lamename2010 You can pay attention and move a bit far away for your 16th mission, closer to a different storyline agent. I don't know if missions types will be different tho.
@@TheMule71 I was doing distro missions mostly, i got a security mission. I would have done it, if it didn't involve killing federation and republic npcs. Pirates are ok, but I don't want to mess up my standings with the empire factions.
dude 5 min and I'm tired as fuck... maybe try to talk faster and to the point, just a suggestion

So, a trader buys things and sells them for a profit, wooow! So profound...
Lol the spreadsheet
VERY good video, thank you for your thoughts and insight on the whole trading uh... trade. Knowing not what you think is valueable, but what your customers think is, that is at first glance pretty obvious but somehow gets forgotten along the way - I did catch myself thinking in the similiar ways that you described, looking for something that I think will sell really well and jumping on board. Doing it the way you suggested, figuring out what your target audience wants to buy, "healing the market" and revitalizing the region do both sound like some good fun / profit to make AND also bringing some live to the more remote regions of the game. Too bad you didn't want to share all your secrets, would have loved to take a note of these, hahaha! Anyways, thank you for taking your time and putting the info out there. Good fortune on all your future trades!
23:45 load up your fit and hit 'buy all' -- you can see what's sold out and what's on market for 500% value etc all at a glance Also use public contracts for complete ship fits (and anchor a depot outside to let people know you're posting em :) )
You have the game knowledge, but you need to make this video MUCH shorter. Start with about as much material as you had here for this video, then re-write it to make it shorter. keep repeating that until you can cram this into 20 minutes. You're information density is far too low, you're a bad eve tutorial CZcamsr. But you're SOOO close! just take scissors to your script, and remove the 3/4 of sentences that are redundant.
This guy wrote the same information twice over, don't make that same mistake.
Homie this dude is making a video for a game that has a 30000 person player base that only 1% of those people will ever think about watching… you want him actually spending hours writing scripts to possibly make 30$ from the video? He’s better off not making by that point. Shut up and watch… or don’t… no one really cares.
problem with eve has been the out of control economy. I played 2 accounts for several years, hit big with a agent mission reward and went from getting by to easy billions with a t2 original blueprint; at which point i stopped playing. Having isk isn't great in eve. you'll get bored!
... you won the biggest lottery in the history of eve. Most T2 BPOs are FAR more valuable than titans!
Can I have your stuff
lol, well i got the t2 bpo for the tech 2 cloaking device. ended up joining some large group in nul space and gave it to them figuring it'd be a way to show commitment to the corp. However after several months i'd gotten bored of the game so left it with them. Cant remember corp, think it was celestial something or another, think to right of delve? This was back when t2's first came out. - imagine a lot has changed since then.
@@trydierepeat8208 yes alot and those Blueprints are more valuable than ever lol. It's like selling a 1960 Ferrari prototype for pennies.
Your looking at it so wrong if you think isk makes the game boring. You gotta find what you like outside of the isk grind and having abundant amounts of isk allows you to do those activities that you found fun without having isk limit your ability to do that activity.
Great video - I'm new-ish to EVE and looking to play around this exact content (plus my own inputs on either side to trading to market). Thanks!
I paused as soon as I heard station Trading. I'm going to get a cloaky hauler and go make kissing noises near a moon. See if I can get any takers
This isn’t a video about station trading
@@patrickprice3125 Exactly! It is about hooking out on the streets
This is the kind of video content EVE needs. I am sick and tired of creators thinking they can get away with titling videos like they are going to speak knowledgeably on a topic in-depth and it turns out to be gameplay footage of them barely trying something for the first time. I've been trying to see if I can revive a local market on a new character and it has been a grueling process starting from just 10M ISK, but you've given me several ideas that I'm excited to try. Thank you
Please check you sound levels before posting...this is almost unlistenable...
Good vid , even for non-traders , keep up the good grind !
The fonts are really hard to read. Especially when they are on top of textured backgrounds like at 10:25. This game needs an HD remaster - just blow everything up to 1080p at least and upscale everything and use modern fonts.
One of my all time favorites, it was a great game.
Absolutely loved this game, literally what my childhood was based on. Wish we could have gotten more stuff like this.
Came across this series as a kid. I was so impressed by it i would even draw the characters when I wasn’t playing. It was so strange tho because nobody I met had ever heard of it. Felt so surreal.
14:50 Can a pilot switch those crystals in space as needed? I guess you said so. // But those crystals don't get consumed at all, right? In that sense it is a one-time purchase in contrast to other ammo then... // A very cool and indepth video. I just wished you explained some fundamentals about crystals more. For someone who does not use those, it is not self evident, like swapping them out or whether they are consumed at any time. For example a short fight demontrating those intricacies would be nice.
In GW almost anything works (at least in normal mode), but the main question is, is it effective? Your builds are not. Why? You are missing on your main role. Aggro management and damage. Warrior is not a good support class (outside of the Save yourself shout spam), nor a caster class. You could heal or do some things a necros do, but why? They can do it better. Keep it simple and stick to the core of your profession. Add some kind of adrenalin managment, ias/attack speed increase, a few attack options and some utility skills. The main attribute of any class is the best indicator of how a class should be used.
Me personal favorite for W/N back in the day was axe, tactics and Grenth's Balance. I remember using that to solo Glint. I just started playing again, and also want to do some challenge runs. Hit me up sometime if you want to theorycraft or try some things: Van Wark
As someone whom really likes the Death Knight from WoW, this video is just what I needed! Thank you for taking the time to share it.
Cool! back in my day I tried to make a warrior/necro build too...but it just didn't made the cut. Maybe I'll give a try at yours.
How cool to see a video like this in December 2023! 😊
- self healing is not worth taking. heroes do a great job at this. Unless you are really early in game and you must. - I would focus on skills that bring more damage. - Also would I would focus on not single target damage. - also prefer full packets of damage over degen - optionally look for something that increases the damage done by the weapon, something + dmg on hit - wells are not good as you need a corps that means it's already in mid to late in the fight. so you have very little time left for the end. and degen wells need time to do damage. so the fight ends and they do very little damage. Better use putrid explosion, single packet of damage, more damage, and lower recharge. Optionally pair it with putrid bile. The only skills worth taking from N for war are: MoP, Putrid Explo, and perhaps somehting situational like anti enchantments and anti blocking. All of those can be used great by heroes too, except MoP so that's the only one really. MoP is also not really *that* good, long recharge, causes scatter, low range just adjacent, it does not really work in casual pve, needs more structured pulling and balling. So there is nothing to take really possibly only Putrid Explo, as a fast reliable nearby 100 aoe. Necrotic Traversal can be somewhat good for teleport too. In general from a secondary good options for a war are: w/rt splinter weapon, w/a and teleports, w/e and conjures, and pbaoe damage. And personally w/a for the teleports is the most useful and fitting one.
Tbf this video is not about doing an optimal, meta build; GW is a dead game, and the meta has been frozen in time for years and done to death by everyone. It's natural that people will try to do 5~7/10 builds that at least explore other skill combinations.
Guymcperson is right on the money here. I was part of this campaign run. We were doing Prophecies with new characters, no gold or items from the rest of the account, no skills from Factions and Nightfall, no heroes, etc. There was an emphasis on experimentation and having fun. And because we had no heroes available, we were stuck with henchmen if we didn't have a full team. Prophecies henchmen are notorious for being under par healing-wise, especially in certain sections of the campaign where incoming damage is higher. Having a self-heal is nice when Alesia has spent all of her energy putting Healing Breeze on other people. Sometimes we'd also just not have an optimal spread of classes. The most memorable instance was that we had 8 people for a mission, but none of them were monks, so we all took some self-heals and team support skills and managed to do it that way. Sure, we could've split the team in half and taken henchmen, but this was more fun.
@@guymcperson @TirOrah it's a given he is not going for meta or optimal build here. he is asking for the better possible options for a W/N, and I reply with the better possible options for a W/N in my opinion.
@@d3r4g45 And I'm just adding context for some of the points you raised. (For what it's worth, I agree with some of them.) The builds shown in this video were created under the Prophecies run restrictions. Yes, in general self-heals aren't worth it--but they were more valuable in our situation. Yes, in general you want AoE damage over single-target damage--but in Prophecies, enemy density is lower and enemies won't be balled up or corner-tanked a lot, so it's not as big of a deal. Yes, heroes can do most of these things--but we didn't have any. We're just over halfway into Factions right now; we have more tools available to us compared to the Prophecies run, but we're still quite constrained in what we can bring. Under these circumstances, some skills end up becoming useful even though they're considered lesser when taking the game as a whole. If we immediately dismissed every skill that is not an optimal pick, we'd have even less to play around with. That's a difference between the mindset of this run and the more optimalised points you brought to the table. Both are valid, but it's worth knowing which mindset the video goes for.
@@TirOrah that's ok, i didn't know about the proph only skills parameter. and ye as i said, this works as starting build and when you don't have other options or heroes. For self help, one of the best and ovrerooked is Ether Feast, at lvl 10 gives 150hp healing, for 5en 1s cast and 8s recharge.
nice

Quite possibly the best game of all time. ABSOLUTELY the best flying game of all time.
I see a LOT of Starfield in this game.
I loved this game and privateer 2 the darking.
Thanks for the great vid! A classic indeed. Played this on PC at first release when I was a teenager. SO many hours spent making cargo runs.
Tyrian Aurora is proud to announce the Guild Wars Winter Campaign, Factions! The campaign is to play through Guild Wars Factions with a group of players with new character builds from the very beginning. We play under established guidelines to use only certain skill decks and to only use the gold, equipment, and materials that we find along the campaign. We will also be doing a Canthan War scheduled for January where we'll focus on Alliance Battles, Fort Aspenwood, and playing with the friendly bots in Jade Quarry. It was a bit quiet from 1:40 onwards because I was on the phone.
Had such a great time playing GW - Was ages ago, but almost feels like yesterday, seeing this video.
U guys still playing
We are indeed. We’ll be going into the Titan missions and sorrows furnace. Then we’ll announce our winter campaign.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
You can't shunt power to guns or shields specifically but when you can for example, cut your shields off, or to half, which gives more energy to your guns and afterburners. Yes, the Lucas Arts games did this better.
When you start, scout missions are the best... JUST HOLD TAB.
This is a really good game. Still.
