i wonder how accurate the "18m" actually was - quality though - thanks for all the likes, just want to say was not intending to throw any shade it's still a very good achievement!
not at all. The first clip of when he was working his way up to 18m, he said 'let's get a simple 10m' or something like that; there is no way he could've known when he kicked it exactly 10m high. I think he was just kicking it high and then saying that it was however many metres up and matched it to the scale he made when editing which was probably not at all accurate
Or he knew his height in meters and multiplied it to get 18 and that's how he did it

Messi could have kicked it higher it’s just in Japan anything that goes above a building that is heavier than 20 grams count as a felony and if you want to try it you need a warrant and by above a building I mean 20 metres similar to drones but drones are allowed to go higher
@@slomp1902 the camera was on the ground though so obviously, as you get higher in the sky, he would have made himself smaller and he couldn't have done that accurately

Just some feedback... your first challenge you’re not driving through the ball.
As soon as you are making contact, your pulling your leg back. Drive through the kick (like you’ll kick your face) and you’ll get another 20-30 meters easy

For the challenge at 5:34, let's say his height is 1.8m. When he stands up, when putting the video on my full screen, he's 4.2 cm tall, and his 18m limit is at 36.5 cm. It means that his 18m, is in fact a real 36.5/4.2*1.8 = 15.6 m.

The last record actually is not correct. Its 29 goals in 1 minute from the halfway line, set by koeman jr. The casillias record Was for balls, not touching the ground before the goal line i think.

Physics says it should take roughly 3.83 seconds to travel up and down 18m. I timed the kick at 8:13 in the video 3 times, and got 3.82, 3.80, 3.78 as times. Averaging out is 3.80 seconds, so I'd say this is well within error margins, and seems extremely close to 18m. I'd call this legit.

The height measurements are way off but still pretty impressive. It's also way easier when you don't have to aim the ball over something but instead just randomly kick it upwards.

Nice vid. But for the goal kick (Ederson), your kicking technique is wrong. You have to kick slightly from the side by bending your body so that the ball travels both vertical n horizontally. Since you are kicking almost straight up, there is no horizontal travel thus no distance, only height.
