I wonder if those luxury brands (especially gucci) ever consulted an actual football player before they started manufacturing. Like you said they seemed like decent shoes except for the solid plastic block of a tread.
When these designer brands enter specialist markets, their products aren’t normally for enthusiasts - more for people with money to burn
Designer brands are mainly for collectors. Maybe a professional footballer may have been consulted for the design and some remarks but that doesnt prove in any way that the shoe was actually designed for maximum performance.
I wonder if they consulted human beings at all. Their gear looks clowny af.

The solid plastic is commonly used in indoor football (futsal) although you can get them cheaper and better then that
