It was still in pre-production tho. there was a theory saying SM leaked it to gauge interest. Nonetheless, fans hoped the song was a joke but it came out with the same tune; with studio changes of course. Response was similar but then there were many shared memes of the song from the MV, like the famous cheese line. The song was memorable, not only bc it was the first time all twelve members could promote together, but bc of the impact the song had. Same thing for the choreography like the Tree pose. It was cringey, but experimental and different and badass. It really did bring in interest, and set up just enough of it for the general-audience-friendly Growl.

Was kind of surprised that there wasn't more reaction clips from the vocalists since chen and baekhyun's vocals in this one are insane. The new concert version of the song is fantastic as well with even amazing vocals extended music and more choreography. They are all singing extremely well with dancing and live vocals.

Wolf is such a disastrous but amazing masterpiece, how is that humanly possible? I have no idea. The lyrics are super bad and the song is very cringey, but the vocals and impact that it has on you is so powerful and breathtaking. I literally held my breath the whole song when I first heard it because I had no idea of what to think. It’s a one time experience for some, but I always put it on to get hyped or listen to it purely for eargasms and enjoyment. Wolf is truly a legendary and unique song that will never be forgotten in KPOP history.
I think it’s such an interesting song. I loved the harmonies.

Was kind of surprised that there wasn't more reaction clips from the vocalists since chen and baekhyun's vocals in this one are insane. The new concert version of the song is fantastic as well with even amazing vocals extended music and more choreography. They are all singing extremely well with dancing and live vocals.
