I got one of this from a box of 100 film cameras I bought in an auction like 3-4 years ago. I sold all of it except 8 of it because it had sentimental value. I totally forgot about it and I found this camera in a box last week. Now I’m excited to finally use it since I didn’t even tried it before. So far it’s working nice. I haven’t got the photos developed.
@@walrusmcgee 100 cameras for $500 was a sure deal. One of them sold for $1700 and I used the profit to buy more cameras. I am not rich hahahaha I just got lucky. It came from the daughter of my neighbor who used to be a photographer for Wall Street Journal. When I found out they will auction it, I bid right away. I only have 1 of them left. I have stopped doing photography now.

I think 'Real Time' mode has a price and that price is the camera rushes auto focus in some way. Just uses a centre focus spot or maybe it just guesses. That's the price. Hey Caleb- Joshua here again! just stumbled upon this Gem cause my wife uses a ShureShot. And now so funny watching this having just found out about your sister. Also Mamiya 645 arrived, just finished a roll of Kentmere 100
Damn, this sure shot video is definitely an old one that’s for sure. I hope you don’t judge the poor quality of my older videos lol that’s awesome about the Mamiya. I hope you enjoy it! Say hi to my sister next time you see her 🤪
@@BadFlashes see - while it’s an older video, what I basically enjoyed so much watching this was thinking of how much you’ve grown as film maker and editor since then. So instead of judging the “poor quality” I was just excited knowing where you’re at now! And yes! Will definitely say hi next time!
i have the same exact model but black...and focusing lights won’t light up but everything else works..imma shoot with it and we’ll see what happens, got it for 5$ thrifting
Great review! If the AUTO mode is on and the red light is on, does that mean the flash will ALWAYS turn on when capturing or it just means the flash will be used if it’s low light?
Hey, I'm quite new to film photography and I was wondering what iso you were using? Also, if my photos came out kinda dark, but it was well lite when I took the photos, does that mean I shouldn't have used flash or should have used a lower iso or both? pls help!! thank you :)
Oh hey there! Well ISO... it was cheap film so probably one of the Kodaks like 200 or something... as far as the other questions... Ill need a bit more answers... Like what camera/ what speed film? Did you use a light meter? It could mean that your shutter speed was too fast or your FStop was closed down too far or both. What does well lit mean? Outside on a sunny day? If you use a light meter (phone app or practice) you really can't go wrong.
Is the viewfinder pretty accurate? Looking to buy this camera but worried about past experiences with disposables...where the photo composition is balanced through the view finder but then once printed its showing things in the image that wasn't in view finder.
Hi, I'm quite new to film photography and I'm not totally sure what it means when the orange indicator light keeps blinking? Based on my research it says that it's camera shake warning, does that mean I have to be steady or use a tripod? I tried doing it again while the camera is placed on a flat surface but it's still blinking.
The 4 metal buttons where the film canister sits are supposed to recognize the film. I pushed them a few times and rubbed with lens cloth. I also messed with the tension thing that sticks out from the door that pushes down on the film. I pushed it out a little more and then magically the camera recognized the film. Hope that helps!
Hi i have the same camera and i was testing it out earlier and its started blinking H in the display. I tried removing the battery for a couple of times but it won't go away. Help
thank you!!! I just found out that my battery is not working anymore, even though its was not used and just stored for 3-4 years. the battery life just decreases on it's own since its shelving life is like 2-3 years.
i just bought this camera and i put the battery and film in and i took a picture but now the little screen on the top left is blinking the number 9, i didn't know if it is okay?? lol. i also don't know if i winded it up right or even how to take a picture. lots of questions
Omg I’m sorry to hear that it’s having some problems ... I wish I could help but unfortunately I don’t have the camera anymore. I hope you can find the answered needed :)
@@BadFlashes what do you mean "but why"? because you dont need 1/1000s to freeze a movement. and it did just not made sense to develope faster shutters for the low price consumer customers. i guess. maybe im wrong ,🤷

Can I put real time and flash together with timer (2 or more modes together) if yes then how ? Btw great video
Thanks!!!
As for the timers and flash. I haven’t explored that so I can’t give good advice … sorry :/
Maybe someday I can though!!

Maybe the battery died ?
