Your gearshifts will be smoother, less wear and tear on syncro hubs, if you double clutch the shift. Notice how long it takes to engage the next gear when you shift up? That is because the syncro mechanism has to slow the next gear hub down to allow the shift. Double pedal the clutch will half the wear, smooth and speed up the change. Camp 17 is much nicer, amongst the Gidgee trees. You will find a couple of challenging dunes between camp 17 and 16!

A good one ! Quite frankly 95% of the time the Mog's time is wasted - however it is just a pleasure watching it "work" the 5% you call on it. Then it really becomes a very much stand alone overlander. Awesome. Enjoy and waiting for the rest of the Simpson.

Nights got down to 0°c and into the mid 20°c's during the day. Our second day in it started to rain, the clay pans became lakes and we did a couple 5klm division drives around a couple of them . . . 3 days to cross became 5 days to get across . . . but all the desert flowers started coming out on our 4th day . . . such a amazing sight . . .
