I have the GC Plus. It took me a while to get it. The key moment was the use of the effects loop which I use with an octave pedal and reverb - sometimes a tremolo in there too. It effectively creates a lush synth pad sound. Love it now.

I had the freeze, tried the Freqout, then bought one of the first Plus pedals to come out. It definitely takes a bit of practice to get the timing but once you do it sounds very musical and somehow less like an effect you can add vibrato to a bit for example and it will sustain the vibrato as well.

The Plus has an amazing side gig: the effects loop controlled by easing-in the pedal. Infinite possibilities.
I have both, love them both, but go with the Plus
This video is arguably immediately out of date. Yesterday, TC released/launched their new 'Infinite' pedal. So there's a new affordable alternative in this pedal genre on the block! It has more features and functions than the EHX Freeze.
Obne sunlight is fun for sustain too. I love my freeze along with it though.

I have both pedals. The plus is amazing when you use the fx out loop. I put in an electro harmonix c9. It makes the plus come alive. It took me a while to get the plus worked out like I like it. Since the pedal has two levels of pressure it takes some getting used to as well. But after some time it has become something that I feel is very expressive and I love playing with it.
Oh man, TC Electronics just announced a pedal like this today!
