Love your channel beause I'm either laughing so hard whatever I'm drinking comes through my nose, or so relaxed I forgot I'm not sleeping.
LMAO this comment made my day
Better to nose-vent or spit-take than to choke, as I recently did...
I can't get over the fact that they made the footswitch look like a piano sustain pedal, super cool. This video is like an entire ambient EP
hahah right?! thank you so much!! 🥰❤️
Mood and Delta II combine to give a haunting sound!
I think that one is my favorite one from this video!!! I've been trying to find a practical use for that particular setting on MOOD and 2+ years later, I finally have one!!!
OK can we all agree that Emily might actually be an angel? That portion from 3:40 to 5:08 gives her away!
🥺❤️❤️❤️
The best demonstration of the FX loop I’ve seen so far on it
thank you so much!! I really appreciate that! 🥰❤️
wow! I remember my mom whenever I see someone play the harp. My mom plays the harp as well but her harp was destroyed during a typhoon. I am saving up to buy her a new one and show her your channel.
I can't imagine the heartbreak of a harp being destroyed 🥺❤️ what kind of harp did she play?? Dusty Strings models are not super expensive, and I play the Serrana 34, which was about 3.5k -- I'm sure we could start a Kickstarter for her or something to raise some money!!!
@@emilyharpist Thank you for caring, Emily. I am not really familiar with harps, I just know it was old since it was family heirloom. My mom is 61 and she loves to play music. I sent her one of my guitars and an amp so she could play something for the meantime. Due to travel restrictions I can't visit her yet. I just wish I could teach here how to look for harp channels in YT like yours personally. Hey, keep playing and keep inspiring people around world. I appreciate your music.
Your mom sounds like such a wonderful person!! That was so kind of you to send one of your guitars; she’s probably going to be shredding guitar solos soon!! I really appreciate you and I’m so glad you’re here ❤️❤️❤️
I appreciate your sonic experiments and the music you make.
Definitely look forward to your videos and hearing the next pedal or pedal combination you are exploring.
That Game Changer is pretty cool-
Thank you 🙏
thank you so much!! :) ❤️ I'm seriously going to be using this pedal a LOT more, especially during live performances!!
I think I've said this before on your videos but I'm still in awe that all of this sound is coming from one performer on one instrument. VERY impressive! If I saw this live I'd be that dopey guy standing there waiting to ask you "how'd you do that?" between songs.
HAHAH thank you so much, Travis!! 🥰❤️ technically it's two people because Russ helps me with all the knob turning and effects, but you'd totally be able to do ALL of this on your own!! never feel daunted by it!! :)
@@emilyharpist I refuse to attempt until I can borrow Russ!
@@emilyharpist Have *you* tried using pedals on your own or even live? How was it?
I'm in awe of this lady's pretty face
I just love how you find the oddest pedals no one is giving you Endorsements big time !!! Seriously Sweetwater or Reverb should be knocking on your door
I remember all the 80s 90s musicians getting endorsements endlessly ❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥
hahaha thank you so much!! I love to review odd pedals because I want to share unique sounds with you guys!! :) and YES I hope that happens soon, but even if not, I still enjoy making demos!! 🥰❤️
@@emilyharpist agreed, you deserve some endorsements for this lovely work you two create! Until then, you could look in to referral links, pretty sure most of the major shops in the US have systems in place for referrals and kickbacks. Would be a way for your audience to support you- if they were interested in buying a pedal after your demos. Thomann in Europe also allows this if you wanted to set it up for European watchers too. Pretty sure some of the links are generous enough to give you commission on whatever a shopper buys, as long as they go through your link.
This is awesome. Always thought this pedal was interesting. You have been the only one who has really showed the capabilities, that I've seen.
Thank you so much!! 🥺❤️
Hauntingly beautiful as always. Very informative as well, taking the time to explain what the different pedals are doing/can do. Looking forward to seeing your next video. Thanks 😊
thank you so much!! I really appreciate it!! 🥰🥰🥰
love your stuff!
it's always so cool to see how you actually incorporate many different pedals every video and play around with the effects
thank you so much, Max!! I really appreciate that! 🥰❤️
You are the effects pedal complete reference guide beyond a shadow of doubt. Not only showing the complete, clear sounds of the pedals themselves, but how they interact with other pedals. Your laugh, sense of humor and knowledge just adds to a wonderful viewing experience.
This was great!! I love this pedal so much I gave one to my girlfriend for her cello and it sounds amazing. I was waiting for you to try this one out. Now I can stop waiting. :)
I especially loved the Reverb and avalanche run combo. Also the Bonzai sounded surprisingly good. Super interesting texture. Bjork would love this.
The Plus Pedal .....Wow ,,another good pedal! Cheers!;-)!
One of my favourite of your videos so far. Thanks for doing these! 😄
thank you for watching!! 🥰❤️
The things you do with a harp and a couple of pedals is insane ♥️ keep up the hard work
thank you so much!! 🥺❤️
@@emilyharpist you even make sound good the jhs pedals which i believed almost impossible
Explosions in the sky vibes. Nice
I've loved the idea of this pedal since the first time I saw one, but it shines so brightly on harp!!
I've been wanting to try it forever!! It did not disappoint. Endless fun!
Very beautiful, I'm wanting this pedal even more now! Kudos to you for making these wonderful videos.
First off - really excellent demo of the pedal, especially of how the multiple ways signal can be routed works!
Second - this seems like a perfect complement to what you have already been doing amazing at, really really looking forward to seeing how this gets mixed in to the next months and years of your music!
thank you so much, Chris!! 🥰❤️
These pedal effects on harp videos can sometimes evoke a feeling, usually one of "Wow! That's a happy chill sound" or "That sound reminds me of something I haven't thought of in a long time." That sort of idea. Thanks for that, Emily.
Glad I subscribed so I can hear these!
Thank you so much, Brian!! 🥺❤️ Thank you for being here; I really appreciate you! I always try to evoke some sort of feeling from my demos, whether that's laughter or just something melancholy. Really glad it's coming across like that!! 🥰🥰🥰
Random compliment: You're one of those people who they smile they're whole face smiles.
🥺❤️🥺❤️🥺❤️ thank you so much!!!
Love this, and I love when you throw delay and heavy reverbs thru your harp. Just beautiful!!!!
thank you so much, Michael!! 🥰❤️
My favorite harpist! Love your channel! Your killing it, guys. Keep up the stellar work!
yay!! thank you so much, Matt!! we appreciate you ❤️
Amazing as always!
Thank you, Erik!! 🥰
Love the review. So cool to see how it interacts with these other pedals.
Thanks!! Honestly the best part of this one is how it reacts with others!!
Incredibly brilliant and beautiful use of this pedal. Amazing and inspiring in so many ways.
The effects loop demonstrations were very useful - the reverb after both unifies the sound nicely.
My Plus pedal just came in the mail and it’s nice to see some ideas before I set it up.
This pedal is amazing. I got it recently for upright/electric bass, you're hugely inspiring. Got some new ideas to try now after watching this
isn't it so good?!? this pedal now has a permanent home on my board hahah 🥰❤️ I'm so glad you found some new ideas!!
I really enjoy your videos. You see a lot of pedal reviews for pedals that really don't do anything that hasn't been done before but this is actually quite unique and obviously a lot of thought has gone into it's design.
hey thank you so much for the kind words!! 🥰❤️ for REAL, this is the first pedal from Gamechanger that I've tried, but even just from this one pedal alone you can tell they really care about their pedals!!
You're so good! Love it. The sustain adds such another level to it.
thank you so much, Jacob!! 🥰❤️
That is amazing. Now I need that. Thanks very much!!!
thank you so much, Pat!! ❤️ as soon as I saw the Plus Pedal I thought the same thing hahah I was like SORRY WALLET WE'RE DOING IT AGAIN
The track with the Bonsai is one of my favorite sounds. I want to just put that on repeat.
5:33 that tremelo, so nice 💫
🥰🥰🥰
Dude, you're so good at what you do 😎👍
thank you so much for saying that 🥺❤️ that means a lot to me!!
@@emilyharpist you broke my brain for a minute, haha. Like, "why would someone so clearly brilliantly talented even care about my opinion?" Then like "oh yeah, she's a human doing her best and it's nice to be appreciated." 😁
For real though, it makes me seriously happy to listen to you play harp, and I hope you continuously get good vibes from your audience.
This was literally a heavenly demo. Beautiful and so relaxing to hear you play it. Reminded me of that EHX sustain pedal but definitely more feature packed. Now I gotta get one.
thank you so much!! 🥰❤️ I used to have the EHX freeze pedal but I don't think I need it anymore now... 🥺
Great demo. This helped me understand this, a lot better. There really are a bunch of different ways to use this. Thanks! And, not for nothing, but your harp music is just gorgeous, regardless of what you're doing with the signal.
Thanks so much Sandy!!! I was really trying my best to show all the options this offers cause I absolutely love it!!! I appreciate you :)
Beautiful demo. Thank you❤️
thank YOU! thanks for being here! 🥰🥰🥰
Those are some amazing sounds you're generating. It really does sound like a full, proper band playing this stuff. I've watched a couple of your videos in quick succession just now and they're really quite attention-grabbing. Hope you're keeping up the experimentation.
hey thank you so much!! I really appreciate that!! :) I have a new single coming out in a few weeks, so stay tuned for more original music (this new single is with a full band and it's not just improv!) 🥰❤️
this is incredible! the possibilities are endless 😍
right?!? this pedal now has a permanent home on my pedalboard! thank you so much, Nicole! 🥰❤️
Lately, I find myself buying or building effects based on the pedals you use on your channel. I've always been fascinated by the harp and it's even more intriguing with the added effects from the pedals. Thanks for the cool channel and the beautiful music you share.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! 🥰🥺 This comment really brightened my day ❤️ it’s so nice to know I’m helping people finding the right sounds for them!!!
Ok, I have an idea:
Since you have to sit stationary to play harp, a huge pedalboard isn't doable.
You need one of those gunracks from the Matrix that zips back and forth real fast, so you can tap-dance everything from Placebo to Plus Pedal.
Your tagline would be -
"We need more pedals."
😉👍
And the vid is superb.
HAHAHAH oh my god YES WE NEED TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN 😂😂😂
I love watching your vids while dissociating it's a great soundtrack. Keep up the good work em
love u ❤️❤️❤️
@@emilyharpist xoxo
Best way to wake up! Listening to Emily and coffee in my cup :D
hahah GOOD MORNING STEVE 🥰❤️
I've had the Plus pedal almost a year, but you've convinced me to get the wet switch just now
The wet switch really opens up a ton of possibilities!!! I highly recommend
Emily stop I just bought the Drone Rainger I can’t afford more effects pedals right now (keep going this channel’s helping me out in finding cool stuff I love it)
LMFAOOOOO I AM DYING LAUGHING OVER HERE 😂❤️❤️❤️ I’M SO SORRY
@@emilyharpist I also just exchanged another pedal for the arpanoid after watching Drone Rainger video no joke your channel is awful for my wallet but amazing for my creativity and pedal hoard
hey! so early this time. cheers!!
this sounds like heaven
Thanks so much for being here early!!!!!
You have an impressive array of pedals. I'm envious.
The perfect soundtrack for a zen-like game. Love your experiments!
thank you so much!! 🥰❤️
Love this Video of yours..well done..great ex. of pedals I haven't heard before
that pedal combination is so Beautiful
thank you so much!! 🥰
I had no idea of the existence of harp pedals, it's awesome, seriously one of the best pedal review in an exotic instrument I've ever seen
Thanks so much!!! They’re usually all used for guitar, but I can use them all with my harp since it’s electroacoustic!
I think I finally found the perfect gift for my cousin. I'm definitely getting one. Thanks Emily!
thank YOU!! thanks for being here!! I hope your cousin loves it as much as I do!! 🥰❤️
yeah!!! I use this thing for bass and tongue drums, its such a great tool.
I love that you try different pedal combinations throughout with this. My favs were the bonsai and just the sustain pedal with the harp alone at the end.
thank you so much!! I have a feeling I'm going to be using this pedal in a LOT of other chains in the future hahah I'm obsessed with it!!
@@emilyharpist I honestly could see you using this live at gigs for sure for more emotional depth in some passages
Great demo of this great pedal! I might mention that we pianists often depress the damper pedal after we play notes. The plus pedal sure sounds beautiful on harp! Love the idea of running the dry signal through another pedal. I’m digging out my plus pedal and Avalanche run (which I bought because of you!) right after this.
hahah thank you so much, Sam!! 🥰❤️ I hope you love Avalanche Run as much as I do; it's one of my all-time favorite pedals!!
@@emilyharpist Absolutely a winner. Maybe not quite as great as the fart pedal, but still quite good. ;-)
I bought this pedal today - because of your demo. Thanks for the inspiration - your harp sounds phenomenal. Cheers Emily
ahhh thank you so much!! 🥰❤️ I hope you love it as much as I do!!!
@@emilyharpist I only had it for a couple of days, so I have only scratched the surface of what it can do. But I can already tell it's mindblowing. I am glad I found your channel - your pedal demos are great - Thanks
Such a dreamy sound especially with the reverb and reverse delay sound
thank you so much! 🥰❤️
Thorpy's Pedals really are the best. Thank you for your excellent work. Best wishes, TB
some people have have bad hair days, but Emily here is living the perfect hair day in the intro and other explaining segments. I'm having an envy over that casual and easy yet perfect looking hair (i'm a dude btw ) ps. cool pedal :P
HAHAH oh my god thank you so much for the compliment!! 😂❤️ growing my hair out has been a bit of a nightmare process so I'm really happy it finally looks nice!! thank you so much for being here! you made me laugh today 🥰
Omg your energy has changed so much in 2 years wow. Like classical to rock transformation
pretty mindblowingly powerful tool that
you must get a second one
Get video. Not many people have given such an indepth tutorial. Great fx choices and love the sounds achieve with the harp. 👏👏
This sounds so nice! Your channel is so cool!
Thank you Simon!!!!
I'd love to just listen to you play for an hour, beautiful to listen to!
thank you so much!! I really appreciate that 🥰❤️
That sweater looks so rediculously comfy. Dang.
Oh and great work guys, nice demo and wonderful musics as always🎃
haha THIS SWEATER IS THE BEST!! I actually bought it at the same time I purchased that Cat Keyboard from Target... 😂❤️ I'm so glad it's finally starting to get cold enough here on Long Island to wear it! 🎃
@@emilyharpist Nice. So what I'm -hearing- *reading* is that was an epic shopping day. Gotta love sweater weather! (spooky season FTW🦇)
That's a very cool pedal, Emily! Thanks for the demo. I might get that one day for my Chapman Stick! As always I enjoy the music that you play during the demos! Peace, lady!
thank you so much!! 🥰❤️
Absolutely beautiful! OMG I need to buy that Skylar pedal too!
thank you so much!! and YES I love Skylar!! it's one of my favorite reverbs :) ❤️
Man I dig your vids. THANKS
thank you so much!! 🥰❤️
What a lovely way to start my day off.
I hope you're having the best day!! 🥰❤️
@@emilyharpist I'm keeping out of mischief. Honest!
So beautifull sound, out of this world, I love music on harp, even beter on effects
thank you so much!! 🥰
really awesome !
thank you so much!! :)
Really great pedal combinations here, Emily ! This pedal absolutely shines with harp and imagine their Bigsby pedal will too 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much, Andy!! 🥰❤️ I seriously can't WAIT to try their Bigsby pedal (and I want to try their Light Pedal, too)!!
@@emilyharpist I have the Plus and Light Pedals and was recently notified my Bigsby will be shipping soon, I found your chanel while checking for any new Bigsby videos.I'm not a harpist but appreciate and envy the instrument and anyone who can play it. Part of the reason I love the Marx Brothers is Harpo gets a chance to speak when his fingers carress the strings.
The Light Pedal is one of the only pedals that you seriously consider getting two of because you know the combinations will be able to alter your creative process to levels you've never considered and create sound scapes that could turn the pedal into almost an instrument in and of it's self
If you've not familiar with "That Pedal Show" I highly reccomend it and a pedal Dan and Mick designed with Jam Pedals called the "Harmoniuos Monk" it is a hamonic tremelo and is an always on pedal for me since the day it arrived. Dan is also the designer and manufacturer of the Gig Rig pedal swiching systems, which you may want to look into.
Now if anyone exer axks me how many harp players I can name I've just doubled it.
I've been eyeing the Plus pedal for a while; I love the Light pedal by Game Changer Audio. That being said, this video makes me want to get a harp more than any of the pedals featured.
same!! I really want to try the Light Pedal next; I've already pre-ordered their Bigsby Pedal... 🤭💸 and hey if you ever want a harp like this, Dusty Strings sells this model, and it's not TERRIBLE as far as harp prices go! it was about 3.5k but it comes with a built-in pickup so you can just plug in your effects and get started 😈 even if you don't know how to play harp (YET!), it's never too late to start!!
Besides the function, It looks really nice to:) like brass on bakelite, angled just right without to much smoothnes even tho there's sharp corners. - give it the grime/dust/wear of a well used rehearsal studio and it will fit in amongst all the 50-70s gear:)
Superb 😊
Very beautiful!!! 👏☺️👍🏻
❤️ thanks Peter!!!!! ❤️ 🐀
It seems to sample the incoming signal, then loop it.
You're something of a nerdy harp maverick aren't you?🤣
Love your content. Very inspiring!
HAHAH I am TOTALLY a nerdy harp maverick 😂❤️ thank you for being here! I appreciate you!! :)
Those sequences starting at 3:40 are 🤌🤌
haha thank you so much, Beau!! 🥰❤️
1:40 ethereal level up🎛👍
Stunning, as always…
thank you so much! 🥰🥰🥰
Fell asleep to this. So good
🥰❤️🥰❤️🥰❤️
You should definitely do more videos with this. There is still so much untapped potential with this pedal with different pedal combinations. I'd suggest trying a modulated reverb to smooth out the jitters on the wet signal. Also you should try stacking the drone notes, (sustain set to infinite). I'd love to hear that on the harp.
YES! I'll definitely be doing more with this pedal; I feel like I've barely scratched the surface! it has a permanent place on my board now ❤️
This should be the go to demo for this pedal
I am buying this pedal! Very cool… 👍❤️
Thank you so much!! I hope you love it as much as I do!! 🥰❤️
Would be astounding if Schecter could come up with a sustainiac for the harp. That would open entirely new possibilities.
Brilliant demo Emily! Hadn’t strongly considered the Plus until just now...
thank you so much!! 🥰❤️ it's seriously one of my new favorite pedals now!!
I think we've reached perfection! :o
Seriously this thing looks so fun I even want one as a bass guitar player, hehe :D
hahah YES please try it on bass and report back to us!! 😂❤️
@@emilyharpist Wish I could! I barely have any room for equipment right now! :'(
I'll remember if I ever get something like this though!! :D
The cloud-like textures with the skylar and sending me to a far off land (sleep.)
Also, a fantastic example of how to explain chaining of pedals.
Thank you so much!! That mode on Skylar is definitely a go-to reverb for me, but with the swells, it’s incredible!! Thanks for being here :)
Wow, what a fabulous sound when it's on wet! It's kind of like a delay pedal but with no attack and much smoother.
Correction: more like a volume pedal plus looper in one uniy
Thank you so much for your work. I play other instruments, but what you do and what you show is very inspiring in terms of how fun playing music can be.
Also, the segment with mood and delta lacks only Thom Yorke's vocals :)
hahah thank you so much!! and omg I WISH, working with Thom is a DREAM of mine 😂❤️
I WANT ONE!
I tried this pedal, and from my perspective, the Superego does the job better with less coloration of the sound and at a better price.
Conversely, Gamechanger's Light reverb pedal is incredible and a unique take on reverb effects, generally.
Of course, everyone's ear is subjective and the demo here shows off the Plus Pedal's best features, no doubt.
Anyway, there's a in-depth comparison/review on Loopop's channel that demonstrates the difference between the Superego & Plus Pedal quite nicely.
Love the channel and Emily's playing (obviously, that's why I'm here in the 1st place).
Thanks so much for the info!! I had a normal Suprego for a little while, and I have a Freeze pedal lying around somewhere, and neither of them came close to this one for me - but I haven't tried the Superego+ - I'm gonna check out that video soon!!!! And you're right, it's totally subjective!
@@emilyharpist: Thanx for reply., and yes, I was indeed referring to the Superego+.
This should save you some time (the review I spoke of).

Idk how I stumbled on this channel but I love it
hahah thank you for being here!! welcome to our weird-but-awesome little harp & pedal community 😂❤️
@@emilyharpist thank you thank you!
Nice to see ThorpyFX get a mention. They make some top quality kit
they really do!! can't wait to try more Thorpy pedals! ❤️
I have my plus pedal running into my zoia, with a seperate volume pedal between the two for dry and wet. Then, I can make whatever patch I want on the zoia, including interesting options for cross-modulation.
oh that's amazing!!! I want to try that!! ❤️
@@emilyharpist Another fun option, if the idea of using software doesn't sound bad to you, is to DI both outs from the plus into your audio interface and process in VCV Rack, so, like the Zoia, only with a lot more flexibility and CPU to work with.
Back in pedal land, if you have a good pitch effect pedal (oct up, down, fiths, etc.), putting that on the wet-out/fx-loop of the Plus is a lot of fun, though possibly more applicable to guitar where the range is limited from fewer strings. It works pretty well on my PitchFork+
In the Drone Ranger video earlier this week I asked about that more-key pedal, I was actually asking with the idea of using it to interrupt the wet signal from the plus sounded like neat idea.
Superb
What an elegant tool for creating soundscapes. It’s like a usable ehx Freeze pedal without the annoying clicking switch. Of course at about the 8:00 minute mark my family was playing dance revolution upstairs and it sounded like the beat dropped in an Orbit concert from the late 90’s
HAHAH yesss you're so right!! I still have my Freeze pedal, but you know, honestly ... I kind of don't need it anymore now that I have this ... 😂❤️ the pedal is just so SMOOTH! I'm gonna be using this all the time
@@emilyharpist yeah, I got rid of my freeze a coupe of years ago. Sometimes I miss it, but not the constant clicking! It’s the only time I wish a pedal had a soft switch!! Might look into this more seriously. My pedal collection is getting out of control, I can quit at anytime and don’t have a problem…nope, not a problem at all 🤪
