Man... I've been in AE almost every day at work for like 6 years. I'm familiar with the program in and out, and am still really impressed by the artistry used in combining these effects to create really nice stuff. Goes to show- it's about art direction and creativity- not learning programs.

It would be nice to make a detailed tuto for the RED exemple. I can't achieve that "painted metal" touch and how to make a bump of another colour. But very good tutorial.
It's the same logic that he used on the logo effect at the end but instead of two "layers" of rust he used four and set the Height on CC GLASS a little bit more negative than the other texture. He shows at 46:30 how he did it. Instead of fractal noise he used images with the contrast of the textures really high.
This guy has taught me that After Effects has so much more to offer than just Keyframes & Standard Effects. This Year I've learned that Set Matte can go a really long way! Thanks Andrew! Can you do Voice Overs for my next Project? Lol!

A tip for people going through this tutorial...I am saving increments according to the timestamp on the video. That way if I crash again I can have the exact project to timeline reference...or even go back and redo steps that I still don't fully understand. Thank you Andrew! #AETITAN
