As some of you already know this here is how I usually get my test rides:

Which means that almost all bikes that appear on my channel are owned by the manufacturers, they're completely new, and usually in perfect condition.
This RAW is different because you're watching a used bike which is owned by a big German dealership. I was on the job for my employer 1000PS.at and together with a colleague I was filming and reviewing used motorcycles in Germany. I was under severe time pressure to make those Onboard sound recordings which meant I didn't have any time to get used to the motorcycle before filming the RAW. I even attached this very ride of me getting used to the bike to the end of this video. Please keep that in mind when judging my riding style.
More important though is the fact that to my liking the twisty stretch of road I filmed was too short. That's why I had to improvise a bit and include those boring straight bits to give you a better impression of what the bike sounds like. I prefer to do all my filming on twisty road sections but it was almost impossible to find stretches long enough to do so. Especially since the best roads were closed due to severe floodings in the area. I hope you're still able to enjoy this RAW. I certainly do since it is such a nice change for once to ride bikes that are a bit older and therefore have quite a lot more character attached to them!!

Sadly that MV is showing its age - the display seems to get blurry at higher speeds 😞
Its 2015 model, and it has since gotten updated from an lcd to a tft display much more up to date)

@@Schaaf now i test rode it a few months ago, stock. To be fair seller started it up and looked at me i was like « what the fuck is that shitty noise ». Very mechanical. Then i test rode and unlocked over 5000 sound. Damn those valves. And the pops and bang. Sound amazing and loved every bit. Even in rain loved it. sadly price and reliability (lol i m a ducati owner and say that xD ) hold me off still… :( i would buy it new so i know how it was treated

Yes, it still sounds a lot like the previous generation Brutale's engine: so much more mechanical, much more energetic and eager! And the feel of the Brutale is so different to the Street Triple too: with the MV you feel everything and it's like you're connected straight to the road and when you hop onto the Triumph you can't believe they put so much squishy bushing to kill all the feel and make the engine and the road feel like they're half a galaxy away! I found it hard to believe how different they are.
Needless to say I bought the Brutale, and it still gave me "new bike chills" three years later...actually the thrill kept getting better as time went on as the bike helped me learn more and discover more of its and motorcycling's amazingness.
@@pistonburner6448 That's basically applies for all MVs, after them any Ducati would feel "synthetically" comfortable and detached from the road. Mv gives this feeling of owning the road being in the epic center of the movie blockbuster. Unfortunately the reliability is off the table and lately they got behind even from the tech standpoint, however, those motorcycles are alive, each ride is special, no Ducati actually gave me that feeling, both are excellent in their own way, but in terms of the character, MV is the king.
@@motociclistasiberiano You are absolutely wrong about the reliability. The opposite is true, and has been factually true for a very long time. You're free to try to give some actual evidence or even some believable and logical rumors if you think you're right of course...
MV's tech is based on the circa 2012 new gen engine, gearbox, electronics, etc. which they developed with some of the best talents in the industry. And it was already very reliable back then. Over the years only a few minor issues were discovered. For example the sprag clutch for the starter was never a massive issue (because it would warn you for some time before it wouldn't let you start the bike...amd rven that didn't happen to very many bikes) , but even that was remedied first with a new part which fixed the issue (and installed for free on all bikes with issues...all bikes no matter what age got the issue fixed!) and then an even newer version of a fix which is also backwards compatible.
That tech has been reliable already back then, and after that it got several new updated versions with further improved gearbox, valvetrain, etc. It got a totally new version (still based on the very reliable tech, now even more reliable) with the new "black engine" after the grey engine. Which competitor has such tried and tested tech?
MV's electronics were cutting edge and weren't as refined as hoped back in ~2012-2013. But they kept developing and got it right in 2015...which was then updated for free for all bikes. Again: no issues for over a decade now.
@@motociclistasiberiano There's a reason why MV Agusta has for a long time been confident enough to offer a far longer warranty on their bikes than the competition: they know how reliable their bikes are.

Das hier gezeigte 15er Modell der ersten Serie hat noch ein paar Kinderkrankheiten, funktioniert aber an sich gut, wenn diese ausgemerzt sind. Die aktuellen Modelle ab E4 und besonders seit 2021 E5 sind absolut ausgereift und zuverlässig. Die neuen MV's kann man bedenkenlos kaufen, wenn man es sich leisten kann und möchte. Durch die KTM-Übernahme wurde das Ersatzteillager nach Mattighofen ausgelagert. Das ist jetzt auch kein Problem mehr.
Allen auch irgendwo berechtigten Kritikern der Vergangenheit zum Trotz möchte ich sagen:
MV baut konkurrenzlos emotionale Motorräder, welche mittlerweile problemlos funktionieren. Ich habe es ebenfalls gewagt und keine Sekunde bereut ❤
Mittlerweile hat jeder Hersteller geile Ware im Angebot und es ist ja auch toll, dass wir nicht alle das Gleiche fahren.

It actually does but since I didn't have enough time to really get to know the bike I had to ride a bit more conservatively

Same here. I’ve had one for a year. Other than big problems with the cooling system and the electronics it was a great bike (when it ran properly).

I did last year
The Turismo Veloce once was kind of a dream bike for me. I never got the chance to ride one, but I did some research and ultimately decided that it's too expensive and too unreliable. Even people in an MVA forum will tell you that "if you want a bike that will not test your faith, the MVA is not for you" and such things. Also, the tyre dimensions are just not what I need from a touring bike -- as you say it is fine on "good roads", but where I travel the roads just aren't good sometimes, and then I prefer ADV dimensions with a 19" front wheel, and certainly not a ridiculously pretentious 190mm rear. So all in all I've decided to pass.
Oh and honestly, I think the Street Triple sounds better. =D *wheeeeeeeee*
I think it's definitely reasonable to pass on that one. My colleague confirmed that it's quite hilarious to see MV owners online not even trying to hide all the flaws. They are somewhat proud of them actually
bro on low rpms as you said it has no power, you were full throttle just to get to 100 km/h, i expected a lot more from a 15400(€) Motorcycle!, the sound is great tho, good riding man and stay safe♥♥

Great bike for sure. But, a big but. My father bought one of those in early 2020, pre Covid, 1 week and the problems started…first was the electronics that completely blocked the bike, then the dashboard…then covid arrived and for several months nothing from the dealer. After almost a year this bike have been used just for a few days and we got our money back
At least you got your money back! From what I've heard dealer support seems to always be an issue, not just during a global pandemic

Diese tripples wollen gedreht werden, der Sound beim gechillten Fahren ist irgendwie weniger schön. Ride Safe!
Vor allem Triumphs hören sich auch untenrum gut an, aber die MV scheppert echt was vor sich hin. Glücklicherweise fängt der Motor relativ früh an zu röhren :D
I would have loved an improved Turismo. Improved suspension, a little more umph from down low, new electronics and dash. But, MV decided to develop the Enduro instead...to little, to late.
At least the new Enduro still got to keep the wonderful MV sound :D
I had a 2002 Triumph Sprint ST until I sold it, nearly 20 years ago (hard to believe). It was a pretty good bike, but I was never in love with the sound or character of the triple. This MV sounds good at high RPM though.
Unfortunately only at high rpm in my opinion
