It is beautiful, I think you may be wrong about this being for the Olympics. He did do a few for the Olympics, I think this one is for a animation movie. This one came out after the Olympics...I could be wrong

I didn’t say that the song was FOR the Olympics, just that it was played IN the Olympic Village and Olympic venues
"Star Fish" by Charlie was broadcasted in the Olympic show room to promote Chinese culture. It is a song of an e-book for children. The song was also broadcasted in the Peking Winter Olympics venue although it was not specially designed for the Olympics. There were several Olympics songs,two songs were sang by Charlie.
The Shape of Water is another good song!!

The unique part of Zhou Shen's high notes is, they are not sharp but soothing, angelic and crystal clear.
Yeah, I believe the Dimash & Charlie Shen are both in that same camp, I agree. And yes, I thought the same thing. Who is allowed to have a voice such as this. It like floats on top of the water causing tiny ripples to expand like a beautiful ring over the water. He is unearthly. I have come to the conclusion I love Dimash, but I think I might love him more. Dimash hits everything right, sound, note, technique but Charlie Shen does something more- he does everything perfect also but it feels like he isn't singing the song- he has emotionally & physically become the song itself. That's the difference & my personal opinion. This just might be one of the best voices on the planet & we get to listen to it. If he ever comes to the States, I want to see him.

Can you imagine if one day, Zhou Shen and Dimash would collaborate? They're both quite different, but I imagine would also have a lot in common. Dimash is often doing things in China these past few years, so who knows, maybe someday.. 🤞
His vocalization is so magical. For a few seconds I forget everything and just enjoy the moment.
He studies Western opera in Ukraine, he loves Chinese opera too. He likes to use opera technique for his song, his voice high pitch was more stronger with the female voice. He was born that way, He is just a unique & best vocalist.
Zhou Shen is the BEST
The voice of Zhou Shen is 1 in a billion. I believe there's not many male singers have this kind of high pitch voice. When I first listened to his song, I thought he is a female singer. The only time you can tell whether he is a male or female when he's not singing. You can tell when he talks with his real voice. It's on the high pitch side of a male voice. It's so unique.

Honestly I'd always find that when singers regardless of male or female, did very high note really hurt my ear drums. However, Zhou Zhen is exceptional. His voice is so pure & delicate that even sounded so beautiful when singing at very high pitch. This artist is a treasure. Another group you must definitely react to is Forestella. A Korean crossover group which I've had recently discovered and now I'm totally falling for this fabulous group. Check out their renditions of Bohemian Rhapsody, Je Suis Malade, Hijo de la Luna just to name a few. You won't be disappointed. See you soon of your reaction to Forestella. Cheers!
I agree, when people reach high notes it hurts my ears, it sounds screechy. But Zhou Shen is the exception.

Don’t feel bad. Many other Chinese singers joke his voice is given from god. I personally think Dimash can go higher (Proven C8) but Charlie’s high notes are more comfortable to me.
