What a treasure ! Angelic voice. ❤ Zhou Shen ❤
Zhou Shen has a voice that is natural - his voice did not crack at puberty, and it left him with the ability to sing this way. He has been trained in Bel-Canto in The Ukraine and he has a perfect pitch - he has had to struggle with the music establishment for they will not give/award him in the first placements because he is a man and sings in the frequencies of a woman. So he has gained a reputation of being himself despite the establishment being against him. I have seen interviews of him being questioned/cross examined about his voice that is very insulting. He also sings without any auto tuning and an open mike. His personal mike is a beautiful blue. He was given this voice by birth and why should people judge him and not except his voice especially when he is NOT falsifying his voice in any way. Hope you can find a phone video of him singing on his knees in his hotel room after being in a program where he did not get to sing the whole song due to his time being cut short. His fans flooded him with requests to sing the song for them. He did so after he returned to his hotel room, sitting on the floor next to the bed using the head set of his phone with a tissue wrapped around the mike of the head set. It is exquisite, a song from "The Phantom of The Opera". He recorded himself singing with his phone. I will try to find the link and put it here later. Hope you can find it if i do not. FYI, all Zhou Shen's performances have not been autotuned whatsoever and he always sings with a full open mic which not so many artists will do nowadays because of their abilities. By the way, you only listen to 1% of Zhou Shen's talents based on this video.
To tell you a bit about Zhou Shen's background. He is from China. He got bullied when he was young just because his voice didn't change when puberty came but that was not his choice and people called him names like a sissy or he sound like a woman etc.....Because of that, he didn't sing in front of people for a long time and he even tried to tone down his voice when he speaks. It takes a long time for him to accept his own voice again and gets where he is now all around the world.
If this is your first time reacting to him and you got that feeling about his voice, I will understand but as you mention this is your second time reacting to him. In that case, what you said is not that right. Please don't be like those people and try to focus on his talents instead in your future reactions to him.
He studied Dentistry in Ukraine when he was young but because of the language barriers, he changes to study Classical music there instead. His goal is to combine Classical and Pop music together to introduce them to those who didn't know what Classical music is. His vocal range is very wide and his breath control is extremely good. He is a polite, funny, and humble guy. He can sing at least over 12 different languages. He can even sing 6 different vocals in one song. His music has so many different genres.
If you are willing to dig into his performances, you will be amazed by his talents. A lot of music can heal people's bodies but not many can heal people,'s, souls. Zhou Shen's music is one of them that can heal your soul. Even with his high note, it will not hurt your ears, not like so many artists out there. Music shows often use autotune during post processing before they publish the videos on platforms like YT. Some use autotune on the mic during the live performances. I analysed his "Memory" performance from Super Vocal with a vocal pitch monitor and there are clear signs of autotune. Compared e.g. to his "Think of me" that he recorded with his cell phone it's obvious that he doesn't have perfect pitch. Even Dimash doesn't have perfect pitch and there are also autotuned Dimash performances. But, as I said, that's not the fault of the artist. The music companies want the result to be as perfect as possible.
@@pfsfighter Dimash has perfect pitch ,don't try to take down Dimash by lie as Zhou Shen fan, Thats is not nice. On the other hand, Zhou Shen also has bad live performance, I won't use it to take him down
@@Shrekreality I'm also a Dimash fan but wave froms don't lie. Check out the video "Are they auto tuning GREAT singers? YES AND WE CAN SEE IT!" on the channel "Wings of Pegasus". He analysed his voice with a vocal pitch monitor.

Every singer has good moment and bad,, you can not judge singer by just one video, also they are plenty of fan cam on internet for every dimash concert,and his accepella. How do you know Zhou shen did not use autotune? his songs generally much easier than Dimash , it is just not fair

hey you probably disappointed looking for mistake and blemishes in live performance caused this guy dont crack when he sing. A very dedicated and diligent singer always practise and practise, stay focus and put his heart and soul in his singing. He is called the walking CD. Most of the time his live performance is even better than the recording.

👉Zhou Shen, *1992 in Hunan, western name: Charlie is an excellent singer. After graduating from high school, he studied medicine in Ukraine, but switched to bel canto after a year. He completed his studies in 2016.
In 2010, Zhou started singing on the internet, but only let his voice be heard without appearing in the video.
Finally, in 2014, he took part in the singing talent show The Voice of China, which first made him famous on television.
In November 2017, Zhou released his debut album Deep and Deeper. For this he received three awards.

Hello Mr. Harris. Thank you for reacting to Zhou Shen ( Zhou as in Joe Shen as in Sun) or you can use his English name Charlie. Charlie have many genres he never stay in single style even his Big Fish have 3 style. He studied Bel canto, Little Chinese opera and voice acting.
For entertainment I recommend Baby, Good Bye; Monsters, Ruthless, and Dalabangba.

I am Dimash fan. I got to know Charlie by watching Chinese drama the Untamed heard the songs for each characters. The song of a villain ‘Libration of the City’ totally blew me away with Charlie’s emotions. He totally interpreted the villain inner wish so well.
Dimash is a great storyteller but only when he wanted to, mostly in vocal techniques.
Charlie is much more of emotional side. Give Charlie the stage he send you to an adventure of colourful emotions. One of the best storyteller telling his masterpieces.

My absolute fav with ShenShen! In reality I don´t like high notes/voices and I don´t think I would have appreciated this as much if it was a woman singing BUT as all of us ShenShen-lovers say; he has this angelic sound in his voice that catches your ear...and his presence, expression and involvment on stage is stunning. He seems to react to his singing just as Angelina Jordan does...they go into another state of mind, they´re both amazing!

Lol you are right. In my understanding, Big Fish is a song about a sad love story between human and fish. Once upon a time, there is a human boy saved a dolphin girl but drowned to death. The dolphin girl then put her whole life against fate to try to bring the boy back to life. The secret way is to raise the boy’s soul to a big fish (like island-sized whale) and let him return to the sea without god notice it. In the time of raising the big fish and through all difficulties, the boy and girl really got along well but it comes time to let the boy return to sea for his rebirth after years. At the end, the boy had to leave the girl and went to the sea for his rebirth. So, it is a story about love, choice, and yearning.
