  • In this two topic video we will look at the basics of current HO magnet car rear silicon slip-on tires and the traction magnets in them. Good tires and better magnets solve most of the common problems with mass production factory cars.

I've got several Lifelike slot cars and I just picked up 3 AW X-Traction cars because of how great they look and because of the performance claims boasted on the package. The 69 Charger even has redline tires! The problem is they cannot even come close to competing with the lifelike cars. Do you know how I might make them competitive? Or what other brands of HO cars are top speed cars that don't fishtail all over? Thanks from MN friend.

Go Fast Products. It is a 1/24th slot supplier. It's called Spin Doctor meter. You want the one that reads up to cobalt/neo magnets.

Hey bud I was on your web site looking into motors/armatures. Level 42 mags for a tyco 440x2 should I upgrade to a 6 ohm or should go back stock? A video of that topic would be great. Love your vids.

The stock Tyco armature will run well with Level 8 traction magnets and the Super Tires.

Enjoyed the video Terry, thats why my 440's will never catch my Vipers. Surprised you didn't mention ground clearance (tire size) and it's effect on "break away" force measurements. You know, apples to apples. Just sayin......Billy

They do not make this one anymore. I've tried reaching out to the former manufacture but there is ZERO response.
