Do they let you see a route overview of what you are going to do the day before? When I ran as a jumper(covering all routes) for my company, they would provide me a list of the stores I would be doing. I'm an over pre-planner so I pre-planned every day, even if I knew the store (different ways to get there, memorizing route, seeing overview/satellite view of the location, up-coming and current construction work etc)
How long have you been driving for? I did OTR for a few months and hit Texas a few times but now I'm back up local gig in New England region.

Im studying to get a class A cld license. How is the pay?. Is it worth it?.
My current job ive been with is officially 8 years now. And it seems like they dint want to pay no one. They've been paying people 3 weeks or more late. It's frustrating when you got bills to pay and the company is making alot of money but they dont pay their employees.
What's your advice?. Should i go for trucking?. I'm pretty much fed up with the current job. Let alone wanting to move out of NY

It’s worth they pay well. Our average driver makes 78k over 1600 a week. But you do work for it! Benefits first day vacation after 6 months….

You should for the pay I just advise anyone getting a CDL understand you have bigger responsibilities as a Class A Driver so go for it if you’re willing to be safe on the road. It’s a dangerous job

There are a lot of trucking companies out there; just research the company well and don't be afraid to hop between companies. I'm at my third (and most likely final company driver role) and they pay decent, decent home-time etc. I jumped from working in corporate world to trucking and am glad I did so. It will also depend on what you plan on doing with trucking, there is Over the road, Local, and then hazmat items.. each pay differently.
