Rome Metro Line A: Termini to Ottaviano

- In this video, we make a train journey on Line A of the Rome Metro from Termini to Ottaviano.
Termini is Rome's main railway station and the second largest in Europe after Paris Gare du Nord. It is served by two of the three metro lines (A and B). Metro Line C is currently in the final stages of construction with three more central stations yet to be finished. The line will connect with Line B at Fori Imperiali-Colosseo (the Colosseum) and with Line A at San Giovanni. However, Line C will remain the only metro line not to serve Termini.
Ottaviano is the station nearest to Vatican City which is only a 5-10 minute walk away. One of the entrances to Piazza di San Pietro (St Peters square) is visible as soon as you emerge from the station.
A couple of stops prior to Ottaviano, the line crosses the river Tiber over a bridge before going underground seconds later. As this video was taken at night time, it is difficult to tell the difference between the underground sections and the above ground river crossing.
I always go to Rome in the summer because my grandmother lives there. She lives next to the station Battistini, so I always use the Line A. Awesome video! 😀😀😀👍👍👍👍🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹

quanto tempo, anzi anni che non prendo più la metro A e B ma temo di trovarmi in difficoltà in quanto sono disabile è mi muovo con uno scooter elettrico per disabili di solito uso la MC per i mie spostamenti ma vorrei allagare gli orizzonti alle altre line metro di Roma. Jean Jules Mazza Purtroppo nessuno mantiene le stazioni e nella maggior parte dei casi le ascensori vengono segnalate come fuori servizio. :(
