The rivers and water bodies around and about Nairobi are simply revealing their actual sizes and dimensions and the size of riparian territory in Nairobi and surrounding areas. The rivers in Nairobi and all of Kenya are larger than they appear or known to be and a lot of the haphazard and unplanned construction of slums, estates roads over the years etc has encroached their territory. So a responsible keen government would've captured what Nairobi looks like right now and take the painful step of mapping where all this water is so to better understand how to develop the city away from riparian lands. This is something which should've been done in the 1980s.
