  • Another short video of Dublin. His eyes are the window to his soul and how he feels about what he is experiencing, whether it be his past (triggers, PTSD) or his present. The eye never lies.
Dublin represents most lesson horses. When given a voice and choice they remain quiet, like an abused person afraid of making the wrong move and getting punished.
This is what learned helplessness looks like. Nobody's home. They check out and stop feeling. They go through the motions, go on autopilot, assume before you ask so they don't get in trouble.
They learn to tolerate to survive. They learn to dissociate to survive. A little bit of their spirit dies every time.
No more! Dublin is free thanks to his amazing person. He's now in the throws of rehab with me and my herd and he's unpacking 12 years of heartache, trauma, confusion and abuse.
