Lovey loves to play and is coming into her own these days, feeling more confident, happier, more powerful. It's beautiful watching them grown and evolve over time, becoming who they were born to be.
She's truly happy Lydia. It's amazing how much our animals, horses esp, mirror our souls. I'm coming out of a really dark place, a place I had been moving around in for about 3 years now. When I was in it, she was my mirror and in so many ways - not so pretty and very stressful. I've been steadily coming out (as you know, you know me well my friend) and with my climb (on the other side now - whew!), she is just off the chain with exuberance, confidence and expression, lots of talking too. Every since Sundance passed, she's been talking. I guess she waited for her turn (healthy hierarchy) to be in the "right hand" position next to me. She is truly my heart horse.
She's almost treating the whip like it's a snake, to be trampled. Her incredible sensitivity and eagerness reminds me of my TB cross... she loved free lunging, and would watch like a hawk for the different cues, and execute them with gusto! Changing direction was done mid stride, mid air, and with flair! 😂
Hi Kelly! I've been teaching her how to mirror my movement lately, including following the whip. You're right though about horses perceiving the whip as a snake. I'm sure her natural instincts are kicking in, alongside her huge play drive. Awesome to hear how much your TB mare enjoyed her liberty!
I just recently stumbled upon your videos, and this one really stole my heart ❤ This reminds me so much of my Six! He is so full of spunk and jealousy 😂 Your approach is so refreshing, I just love seeing this!❤
She’s sooo playful! It’s adorable! 🥰
She was like mom "give me the Cha!" "I want the play word!" 😂 How neat to see her so happy and her mom too!
She's feeling frisky!!! 🥰

Hi Kris and Welcome! Thanks so much! Here is my website if you'd like to learn more www.taoofhorsemanship.com/.
OMG!!! That was so awesome! I'm gonna try that tomorrow with a PTSD horse I look after...
She behaves like my Tone, in a good way.
