      The US markets going to have to simplify their bows or something to compete with that price range. Cuz right now their only critique is "but its made in china"... i really hope some US companies enter this price range

      @@gcoutdoors904 and quality which is horrid. Ive seen quite a few that the limbs dont line up right out of the box or wont bolt on because of alignmment pin or threaded insert installed crooked. The limb weights very seldom are what they claim in weight too. They also use low grade glass and the QC, well there isnt any.. Everyone loves to complain about our economy yet they continue to support the chinese economy.

      @SierraHunter our economies are so intertwined. It's really hard to buy only american. 90% of made in usa crap is really just designed or assembled in the usa. I wish that would change, but sadly, it probably won't. When i become financially capable of supporting usa manufactorers and they prove their worth, i will gladly send money their way.

      @@gcoutdoors904 exactly and the only way to get back to US made is to stop buying china. But anyway, the bow itself is great for a starter or beginner to archery, then if it doesnt work out your not out much money. I bought one recently from a friend who was in need so got it for cheap, it was new in the box. I ended up re cutting the shelf/window to center and had to drill an insert and re install a new one to get the top limb to bolt on and after checking it was only 38lbs and was supposed to be 45, 3rd one I know of personally with the same issues. Either way its a cheap affordable entry to the sport... 😉

    I liked your back drop, your voice, and your content. I didn't see the stats. The bow has an arrow grain to LBS ratio. Then the bow has a recommended brace height along with the strings twist rate. The black hunter can be shipped to you with the draw weight off. So you may be shooting the right arrows for the bow you ordered, but not the bow you got. Also strings have around a 200 shot break in. After that they can lose significant vibration. So I liked the video over all, I would like to see more in them though.

    I have about 10 traditional Bows
    Also, I have 3 black hunters 2 longbows, and 1 recurve bow
    I paid the least amount for the black Hunters, and I'd say it , they out shoot them all, best bow for the money, just have a set of Limbs come apart, they replace them free, that can happen with any company, good day

    Great bow review. New subscriber here. I bought the same bow for my teenage kid and put Lane Holcomb string on it. It got super quiet with it. Keep your videos coming. I'm looking forward for your hunting video with it. That'll help encourage my kid hunting for sure.

    I own 6 Obert Black Hunter bows, 3 longbows and 3 recurves 35,40,and 45 lbs. Your right about the brace height
    7 1/2 to 7 5/8 is just right on all 6 bows. I make my own flemish twist strings , the string makes the bow , I never had any vibrition ploblems, from day one, I never used the stock string !
    I've been shooting archery and bow hunting going on my 48th yr. I'm still learning. Show a video of how you make the your Boar target .
    Keep the Great Videos Coming !
    Stay Safe & Healthy !
    God Bless !

    I received mine yesterday, I ordered a recurve and amazon sent a long bow, WFT, well since I paid only $100 I'll keep it. I'm used to a 40lbs Samick, so the 55lbs Black Hunter is killing me a little bit, but I can tell it's fine. I have one question, if you can answer it; I mounted the limbs without paying too much attention whether one was lower and the other one upper, they look totally identical to me! Am I correct?

    • @sherrattpemberton6089
      @sherrattpemberton6089 Před 4 měsíci

      It can be hard to tell sometimes but if there is writing on the limbs that can help you to orientate which limb is the top and bottom.

  • @CodyFreemanOutdoors

    My black hunter is amazing with string walking. Muscle fatigue will cause the groups to widen up but honestly it string walks better than the hoyt game master 2 I used to have

      I this my issue was anchoring with too much pressure on my ring finger. Which up close caused my tune to be way too far off

      Yeah i had them long for the point on and they were 340 spines. Went up to 400s and not they are maybe an inch and a quarter shorter

    • @gcoutdoors904
      @gcoutdoors904  Před 6 měsíci +1

      I couldn't tell u a specific number. But, it likes to be on the higher side. Im not sure if that's because of my grip or what, though. I sometimes anchor too strong with my ring finger instead of my index. It have never liked being at 0 though

  • @billytea5850
    @billytea5850 Před rokem +2

    With the string walking the bottom limb is working harder than the top. I have higher end bows and a custom and my 60lb black hunter longbow performs better than some of them and if you have the bamboo core version dude these things are fast.

    • @gcoutdoors904
      @gcoutdoors904  Před rokem +1

      I just set up new arrows and kept them full length. They string walk better cuz i dont have to walk as far.
