- Rare Bill Found Searching Currency - $1,000 Bill Hunt for Star Notes
I'll be searching through $1,000 worth of $1 bank notes from my local bank. All of these $100 $1 Bill straps are teller straps. These are straps the bank tellers assemble from customer and business deposits. I typically have better luck when searching federal reserve notes strapped by the Federal Reserve rather than by the bank employees but I was still excited to hunt through these notes!
We're hoping to find more rare star notes, any valuable old bills, or any fancy or cool serial numbers in these circulated stacks of bills. I found a super low serial number bill in this hunt and THAT makes me happy! I hope you enjoy this bit of bill hunting with me.

Among the most sought-after U.S. paper money of the late 1960s are the short-lived "Barr" Notes. The bills feature the signature of then Secretary of the Treasury, Joseph W. Barr. Barr had a relatively short term of office, the shortest of anyone that has held the position (December 21, 1968 - January 20,1969), leading to hoarding of these $1 Secretary Barr Notes. These notes are Series 1963B.

@RobFindsTreasure Awesome find! Do you have to use a different account for withdrawing and depositing cash at your bank? I used to be able to do it with no problem around 10 years ago. In the last couple of years the tellers are either lazy/rude to the idea of what we do. One bank told me I would need a separate account with crazy fees to withdraw or deposit cash/coins
Just found a 00000888 in pretty good shape recently, shame there was a crease right down the middle.

Nice find, I have a 2017, 00000760 I found early last year. I have a couple starting with 4 zero's but only the one with 5. I also recently found (2) 1995 bills from FW with the 295 back plate error. Ones really nice, I might get it graded.

Hi. I am new. I am a delivery driver for a pizza place.
I get LOTS of ones for tips, and after depositing quite a bit at my bank I realized I should have checked for collectible bills.🤦♀️
So I looked thru my newest batch of bulls and found a few star notes, realized from my pay I had a lower 50 dollar bill (good day) (4 zeros) a star 20, and a star five.
I found a perfect birthday one, a one with only 2 numbers in the serial number that read in a pattern, and am watching these videos to train my self to better spot future treasures.
No Webb notes.😢
Edit. I bought a little baggy so I won’t bent my tips up😅, keep them nicer too.
Plus mentioned to my boss I may be checking serial numbers on bills.

That's a awesome find. I found one like that awhile ago with Serial # 00000881*. Star note! It was a bit messy, but I sold it on ebay for around $45. Great vid!

I recently found a one Dollar bill with the serial number of 96000000, and the 6 in the serial number on the left side is missing some of the ink

I do, but I have to request them and sometimes they prefer not to carry them. I could do more though for sure.

Hey Rob I really enjoy your content. You’re the reason I got hooked on coin roll hunting. The other day I found a very rare $1 bill returned in change at a gas station. It is a 2017 note with a serial number of 00002017 😮. I couldn’t believe it, what do you think something like that goes for. I can’t find anything like it for sale or sold.
Thank you! It's hard to put a price on the bill since it is kinda low and kinda cool having the serial number be the date on the bill too. If it is in really nice shape, could be a $20 bill or so.

My lowest find is a $2,1976 * note. Starts with 5,0’s.

I asked if she wanted to "try" to turn it into more than a dollar.
Started auction at $10 1st bid in less than 30 minutes. Sold for 101 plus ship.

I found a couple star notes about 5-6 months ago; one started with 2 zero's and the other started with 3 zero's. I put them both up on ebay in the same auction with a starting bid price of $2.99 and shipping at 99 cents. Didn't sell, relisted, didn't sell, relisted, didn't sell. I read that star notes with leading zeros were sought after, so why didn't mine get bid on?

Nice with the 00000828. Lowest serial I've found is a $20 serial 00001235 which I got from an ATM, really wish it was 1 lower at 1234 but it was still a great find.
