Personally I like the marvel now captain America, but he has a few articulation issues....his look though is the one I prefer, he still has the moulded chain mail and his build is pretty spot on

Cap is getting freaking AMAZING figures lately with worthy cap being imo better then the sh figuarts. and now we have a spectacular comic cap that may be the best comic cap ever.
The comic book Captain America on my display is the Toybiz Face-Off one, so that’s going to be hard to beat. I’m super excited to get this figure and crack him open.
Very pleasantly surprised to see this isn't just another reused Hyperion buck with sculpted scales/eagle feathers. Definitely picking this guy up! I really hope they do a retro version with the lighter blue as well since I wish those eagle feathers were sculpted. I'll gladly double dip if Hasbro makes a light blue version.
For this figure I would've preferred the diaphragm joint, waist swivel combo so Hasbro could've just molded the top in all blue and wouldn't have had to paint the white and red on the blue. The could've molded the lower torso in all white and just painted the red on top. Even though ab crunches are good too.

Living in the US I'm genuinely concerned there will be no way for me to get this figure without paying at least $50 for it. Walmart exclusives are harder to get than Japanese Con Exclusives are.
Great review. I hope I get a chance to nab this one. He's the best Captain America ever released in my opinion. If they included the straps you added, along with that pointer finger as accessories, it would have been the perfect figure. As it is, I'd still give it an A++.
My biggest fear was that they would make Thor outta scale again like they have done with all the modern comic Thor figures but Hasbro finally nailed his hgt to be scale accurate to his other fellow Avengers. Thor is 6'6 not 7'6 & classic Bronze age Ironman & Cap are both in the 6'2-6'3 hgt so that pic of all 3 together gave me piece of mind that they're perfect scale wise when posed together. The last Thor figure I had purchased was back in 06' when the BAF Giantman wave Thor came out, up until this 80th anniv version, that was the best classic Thor made but was about 1/2 inch too small, this one is perfect! I just wish they had included a bearded Thor version as well as 1 more fist hand. Oh sorry, I know this review was about Cap, but I've been waiting for a scale accurate classic comic based Thor for 13yrs! Can't wait to snag all 3 Avengers!
Without looking into the review, the legs look like Moon Knight's sculpt. The arms look like the grumpy reaper mold. The torso looks new, the headsculpt is amazing. The throwing effect is obviously from secret war Captain America.
I dont know man i still love my face off cap but this still looks good. I just wish they would give us a better shield i really dont like the shield hasbro usually gives us.
Aw, when you said it has a diaphragm joint, I was excited that it doesn't have the ab crunch joint. I wasn't really paying attention come up and then saw it does have that ugly abdomen hinge. I hope they continue to use the abdomen swivel joint more, like with recent figures. I don't like it when I can see through the figure via the ab crunch.

His second face is very Batman-esque. I like both but for this guy, I'd go with the first face. I like this figure. Hopefully it will be up for pre-order soon.
I'll be getting these, but Cap and Tony will get replaced when they re-release them with the yellow and red Iron Man and the lighter/more vibrant blue Captain America looks.
I don't know i might pass on this i like the light blue on cap wolf, i just think it's to dark of a blue the light pops more and looks good. I do like the scales so if they revisit this with a lighter blue then yeah, but this looks like a pass from me.
I concur with the comment section; the first head is absolutely the star of the show. A really wasted opportunity to not give us a new unmasked head, or a gritted teeth expression.
Okay, now I know this Thor is basically the same size as Beta Ray Bill. I was thinking it was as tall as the previous modern armored up Thor..but nope, it's smaller. At least it'll fit in perfectly with Bill.
Trying to make too many changes with hands, the straps, and the hammer there I think. If this Captain America is the best one that really is not necessary.

Not really happy with either of these head sculpts. But it is a great looking figure overall and better looking than the prototype. If Hasbro re-releases this in a lighter blue and no lipstick on the face then it'll be closer to perfect.

The Alex Ross head is amazing. The other head looks like Cap just smelled a fart.

I think the legs are from the Spider UK mold and the arms are new, the arms from the Reaper mold are flatter and has longer biceps

Face Off is a classic but this is a more up to date version that sits with your newer Hasbro figures better 👍🏻

I think the heads look too similar. I would rather them had left on the one on his head that he came with, and gave us an unmasked face.
