Toy Biz went out of business in 2006. They sold the license to Hasbro in 2006.
Hands down the definitive Thor figure (so far). But that extra 25% cost is completely unwarranted. No BAF piece either. I mean, compare it to the likes of Thing or Beast for $20....pretty shifty Hasbro.
Smartassdroid you do still unfortunately.....I found 4 at my Target and everything is good with the paint but....the silver dots on the chest are all over the place with quality...great figure anyway👍

No, I was being 100% non-sarcastic. Reguardless of the price increase, I still think they're very much worth it. I got very lucky with being able to look through a great many of each; so found some very decent copies. Beautiful figures indeed. And long gone are the days of $7.99 Legends. Even though it wasn't *that* long ago..but inflation has done its thing.
Okay, so now we're starting to see $25 regular Legends at Walmart. So they were testing the waters, to see if collectors would pay an extra $5 more. And the answer is yes, yes we will. Just *please* don't reduce the QC. Can't have too gentile of a hand with those Chinese factories.

Good god. The handle is super short, while the wrist loop is super duper long. Perhaps that was comic accurate back in the Kirby days, but looks really weird.
It’s not accurate at all, in fact it should be a long handle with a small loop.
Everyone and their uncle has done a review on this fig already but noone(to my knowledge) has done a side by side comparison to HERCULEEEEEEES!!!!

I wish that he'd an alternate head sculp with his teeth showing, a throwing hammer FX like they done for Captain America's shield connected to a alternate right hand, lighting FX for Mjolnir, and a spinning Mjolnir FX, other than that it's time for the current comics Thor to have a figure of course he'll probably be made from The AllFather's series Thor body mold but, with a paint job and a different head sculp with short hair.
Photoshop is your friend for Effects if your doing pics. Besides you can probably find better effects on ebay for thor than what Hasbro will give u
Oh man, no comparison to the most important figures..Beta Ray Bill and classic Loki. I *reeeeally* wanted to see how they'd all look together, especially to see how much taller Thor is compared to Bill.
The latest beta ray bill is the same height as this.

This figure looks cool. The inscription on the hammer looks way better than I thought it would look. Didn't look that great to me in the old comics when artists try to do it, but it looks nice here with the Asgardian font.

I can't believe of all the Thor figure they never once considered putting a spinning hammer effect piece and a throwing hammer effect as well
And alternate bearded head Thor woulda been great & justified the $24.99 price tag IMO. Kudos to Hasbro for FINALLY making a scale accurate Thor & not a giant version. Comic Thor is 6,6 not 7'6! The classic Ironman & Cap are perfect in scale with Thor now.
This just put my mind at ease. I was watching a review of the 80th anniversary Iron Man figure and was surprised at how BIG that figure was when the guy did some size comparisons. I was afraid that Thor would also be massive compared to my other ML figures but thankfully that won't be the case after you showed him next to Beast and Cyclops. Seems about right to me.
I don't consider Mjolnir an "accessory" any more than I consider Cap's shield one... he HAS to have it... so we're being charged a premium (25% increase) for a figure (albeit a beautiful one) and one accessory (the extra hand) with no BAF piece... I think it's pretty safe to assume that this price increase is simply to gauge whether we'll be sucker enough to start paying $25 a piece for the regular figures in ML.... and, sigh, we will... damn you, Hasbro

Amazing! We get a vertical wrist hinge for the right hand. Man, that's nice. Hopefully they'll start to use that more with upcoming figures that need that; but charge $5 more 😆.
Great review. Love to see how Thor compares to his fellow immortals, like the new Hercules and Ares. This is perfect to recreate the cover of Silver Surfer 4.

The arm is a re-use from the Hercules figure. I can see through that bicep's sculpt.
Toy Biz tried had two versions of classic Thor the second attempt was with the Giant Man wave.
Long time thor fan. Going to pick it up and sell the other figures. Looks great.

You have that Loki figure! Man, to me that's still the best Marvel Legends Loki. I've been wanting it for years. I was excited when they announced a new one, but now I can't believe how crappy it is. Guess I'm going to have to spend a lot of money on that old one instead.

Would you guess this new Thor is considerably shorter than the newest Omega Red (I customized my Omega Red into an Eric Masterson Thor & I am hoping they'll scale well together).

Easily one of the best Thors. The articulation is great so I'm hoping Hasbro rereleases the same thor buck with different head options so we can get different looks/eras goin.

They are a higher quality figure, alot closer to import quality. Just like the first 10 years MCU figures were last year.
Best Thor to date hopefully hasbro remakes the return of marvel legends Thor with this level of attention. If you have the marvel select marvel now Thor I’m curious how the two Mjölnir’s look compare to each other.

The handle is short because in the real story of thor Loki cuts of thor's girl friends hair and Loki get scared of thor punishment that he will bring on so loki travail to the dwarves and have them make him a hammer that is only worthy that possesses the power of thor so loki doesn't want it to be functional so he makes the handle short hand really hard to hold on to but in the end he forgives him

The sculpt is better than the toy biz classic thor but everyone In the stores I've seen has smeared paint. Very disappointing.
