Across the Map Series were I walk, run, jog and occasionally swim around large maps on games on a variety of consoles and PC for your viewing pleasure. If you want me to do a particular map in a particular way post your requests below.
Details for why in some of the walks he looks like he is floating on air is actually an optical illusion and is similar to the way when you look at a helicopter on the tv and the blades dont look like they are moving, someone smarter than me has explained it better here:

GTA V video section, the reason i chose 1st person was to show the progression of the series from top down to 3rd person to 1st person, i did not have a clue you actually moved faster while in 1st person while walking compared to 3rd person, i will be completing it again in 3rd person and will post a separate video and add an annotation soon.

San Andreas is bloody massive, it's the only GTA game i remember getting lost in, when i was in the desert area i could never get out of it, when i did i got so happy lol.
Kakarot the map only seems massive because of its low draw distance, in reality it isn't that big.

No doubt the map is much larger than the other but the time leap on this video is because CJ walks much slower than Tommy and Claude. The walk animation on VC and III is like a jog and the walk animation on SA is like CJ is actually walking

@@dankscoob6248 Its a bug common on the PC Steam release of the game, the Retail Release of the game doesnt have this issue though as well as those on the console and so on. There are patches for it though if you ever decide to buy GTA III on steam

i stuck up this video to prove i don't use speed hacks/mods to complete the walks czcams.com/video/7hedR_j9dxM/video.html (the only video i ever used speed hacks/mods in was No Mans Sky which i clearly state.) i will sometimes add in the odd visual mod to make the game look better, mostly do this to make the video look better on CZcams as they downgrade the quality once i upload it.

You don't get the point of comparison then. If you want to know which map is bigger numerically, you can easily look it up. What matters in a game is the subjective map size, and that's where you have to factor in travel speed and the density of "points of interest".
but he has no systematic way of walking/running, he does it fully for one game and never for another. It's not anything, its an oversight

The character was always in the same spot on the screen, when he speeds it up we see the few frames of that animation so quickly it seems it's moving in real time.

You jogged in vice city and in gta 3. But you walked in San andreas. Your times arent accurate.
You can't walk in those games, so I used the slowest speed possible in each one.
You could jog in San andreas though. You cant compare jogging and walking. Those can make a drastic difference in timing.

The only Gta I will truly miss, is Gta 4. I grew up playing that game, so many memories from all those hours playing it. I know Liberty city's map off by heart. Waypoints weren't necessary. The physics were awesome, and it had my favourite car by standard, the Blista Compact. You could enter restaurants and eat, and the whole city felt like a real, functioning city. Long live Grand Theft Auto IV

Cool to see how much bigger San Andreas was compared to the other 2 games
I think it's about similar size, it's just cj has the slowest walking speed, still an impressive map for an old game

Here's a picture, that shows you the real sizes of San Andreas: i.imgur.com/q2WuaVZ.jpg As you can see, Mount Chiliad is about 5x higher than a tree, and about 4-500 meter wide. In GTA V this mount is about 2,5 Km wide. So GTA San Andreas is a grat game, but we must be aware with the sizes
