The way people today react to Kendrick Lamar Like That verse is how we was reacting back in the day to "how we sound like the R(akim) you thought we would fold, 30 days later the LP went gold" 🔥
whoa this really take me back here this song was so much in 1989 i remember going to record buy this album and i think other cassettes at the time that how got my music i miss that .
YES! I got more EPMD LOL😂. Thanks for reacting to this! The bar was real high back then for talent. Artists were elevating the artform at that time. Your open mindedness makes the channel pop. The suggestions on here have been 🔥
Quick history!Hit Squad! Made of EPMD ! REDMAN! K-SOLO AND DAS EFX! When hit squad broke up DEF SQUAD WAS REDMAN E SERMON KEITH MURRAY! REDMAN has always been involved … REDMAN is not a member of Wu tang but he is definitely best friends with Wu tang artist Method man. REDMAN and Method man have one of the greatest collaboration albums ever!! Blackout. Hip hop in a vintage jar! This album is Underrated.
This specific generation is not really considered pioneers. The pioneers are Kurtis Blow, Grandmaster Caz, Kool Moe, Bizzy Bee, Melle Mel, King Tim III, Funky Four plus One. These were artists that were out 8 to 12 years before EPMD. You could even throw RUN-DMC in that group. There's a whole era of one hit wonders that came out with single hits before EPMD. We're using the term "pioneers" for the wrong group.
1st of all, this is a straight up classic. JT. I like how you vibed out to this. DJ Scratch did the BEST "for effect" scratches for a song ever. I could go on 4eva about (E)ric & (P)arrish (M)aking (D)ollars all day...
I would hope you ain't try no crack 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣....J said "Yo I ain't never try no crack!" ...................this dropped in the middle of crack epidemic.....classic....gave birth to Mobb Deep...
Great reaction, but please please please run it back and watch the video. You always say you love how old school artist talk with their hands. This is my joint.
EPMD is one of my all-time favorite rap groups. You should definitely react to the video for their song "The Big Payback," The beat for that song is harder than this one, in my opinion. Also, the legendary rap group, NWA, makes an appearance in the video.
Young lady you definitely is beginning to have an awakening of real hip hop! Me I began listening to Redman when I was 10 years old lmao! Just like you I begin to go back instead of being in the present with hip hop. Yeah T.I., Jeezy and Lil Wayne was the music of my time? But I choose the the era before me! EPMD changed my life at 15 years old along with NWA and more..Now at 32 I'm glad to see someone like you that has a different outlook than the ones your age with rap music. You gotta listen to "Crossover" and "Headbanger" from EPMD! But also look into the history as well you'll be surprised at what you find out, the ups and downs of their fame. Nonetheless they're legendary!
New subscriber ... EPMD is one of the best hip hop duos. this was 1989 back then you had to be Original and could not copy or bite another person style.
They were more Conscience about what came out of there mouth. They were to positive and their positive influence made people of color think a different it uplifted many. The Government, the wealthy, and the music industry put a stop to progressive music. Did you know the music has a large interest in the Prison system. So here we are today because to the violent rap music they push to our youth. And today our prisons are over flowing and guess who is making all the overflow money. EPMD hell'a FRESH! Wake up. Queen Latifah rapped, "Who you call'n a bitch", I ain't a bitch or a hoe". Now look what brainwashing of the industry got our men calling our women today. Sad thing girls sing a long with it.
The hardest beat in rap history
That's a fact 💯🎯
FACTS FACTS FACTS, not even up for debate.
It's perfect!
Dr. Dre samples it too. Stranded on death row.
@@KelzKelz That was my shit too off that Chronic album🔥🔥💯

i love erick sermon's unintentional drunken sounding style- i had every "business" album- they all had that word in the titles
Had??, My brother, I still do. Cassettes, And Maxi singles to some of them. Also still have all of Das Efx cassettes...
I love the JANE storyline in all their albums.
I was wondering if he was really drunk or if that’s just his style either way this is dope as hell 😮💨🔥🔥
Great reaction, but please please please run it back and watch the video. You always say you love how old school artist talk with their hands. This is my joint.

EPMD is one of my all-time favorite rap groups. You should definitely react to the video for their song "The Big Payback,"
The beat for that song is harder than this one, in my opinion. Also, the legendary rap group, NWA, makes an appearance in the video.
EPMD is no skip music 💯
