Part 1 of a series of tutorials covering the basics of chemometrics in Raman, Mass and FTIR spectroscopic data.
The tutorial is MATLAB based but shows the use of some stand-alone compiled MATLAB code.

Hey, this video was very clear and an informative intro to spectroscopy analysis, and you did a better job at making the video than many others. I was disappointed when I couldn't find the next part :(

The tutorial was simple and clear. Can one apply your script for another dataset

Hi Paul, I happen to have designed a program that does FTIR as well however, I am unable to figure out how to implement the wavenumber component into a PCA program for IR spectra and my spectra all looks squashed?

Thank you so much for the video....Where can i get that Bassan spectral software or is it that those commands can work in matlab too.I have spectral data that i need to analyze and your help will be much appreciated

Thanks for you reply Paul! got a copy of Chemometrics with R, so that's keeping me busy for now. I have a question though, is it possible to do something quantitative like plsr with Raman spectra?
    I'm working with wine btw.

    Great video!
know of any good data sets to practice with?
I was hoping to find something to try pcr and plsr.
googled a bit but wasn't immediately lucky.
