I stopped playing this game in January. It was too bad to handle for me. I can relate to basically everything you said, Kurt. The freezing defenders, opponents playing full backs at centre back. It's gotten ridiculous at this point. I think we need to get rid of the idea this game is ever going to be good again. They're not trying to accomplish it, it's all about generating money, and it seems most of the fifa community want to play Adama traore full back special cards at centre back and throw money at ea to afford those cards. It's just stupid at this point. For the first time in years, I think I won't be buying fifa 22. The gameplay sucks, the promos are boring or straight up stupid at this point. Ultimate team and building and improving my team was what kept me around but even that part isn't fun anymore. It's always the same players that are op. I'm not even angry anymore at this point, I'm just fed up. They would need to make some significant changes for me to come back, and I'm 100% sure those changes won't be made. Much better off spending time on other games that are actually good and enjoyable.

If you can't notice the pattern of what's going on in FIFA/FUT since it became "e-sport", here's a recap : - Passing and 1-2 passing is nerfed to nerf players like Gorilla, whose strength is playing in a fast/rapid fashion. - Player movement is nerfed also to nerf players like Gorilla. - Pressing is nerfed to nerf players like Tekkz, whose strength is defending with pressing/high pressing. - Left stick dribbling is nerfed to nerf players like Kurt, whose strength is very good at left stick dribbling . - Skill moves are nerfed to nerf players who use skill moves in general. - Pace of the game is slowed down to nerf players who's able to see things fast, think fast and react fast. In a nutshell, when they see a person who's very good with what they created before, they tend to have the agenda of nerfing that person in their next installment by nerfing the mechanic that person is/was very good at. They do this each year and the resultant of all this is A BIG MESS, they do this in the name of BALANCE but it actually became A GIANT PILE OF CRAP. They tighten the controls of this game and make things more RNG when at the same time their servers are not capable of giving a MAJORITY of their loyal customers GOOD RESPONSIVENESS. Their lines of thought are : "Hey, Gorilla is still able to play very fast in FIFA 19 so I think FIFA 20 needs to be WAY SLOWER" and "Hey, IDK why ppl don't like FIFA 20, so we need FIFA 21 to be a bit faster but still SLOW in general so Gorilla still won't be able to play like before", all this while at the same time the SLOWNESS IS BEING MADE WORSE BY THEIR OWN SERVERS. Had they not nerfed the speed of the game, we would still struggle with the responsiveness BUT IT WOULDN'T BE AS BAD LIKE NOW. THE SLOW PACE AND CLUNKY MECHANICS ARE MADE WORSE BY THEIR SERVERS AND IF THEY CAN'T ADD MORE SERVERS THEN THEY BETTER BE NOT SLOWING DOWN THEIR GAME. Iv said numerous times before the problem with fifa is the ultimate team, the game is designed around it. People who cant play fifa well will go and spend cash to get an advantage over their opponent. Kurt complains about fifa's state, like we all do, but he tried pes and it is worse, fifa, for all its bad points is unfortunately the best football game on the market. You will never get the perfect fifa and you need to realise this, no game has ever been perfect online as peoples opinions will always be different. The state of fifa doesnt stop at fifa, the skill gap in games has been decreasing for years. It makes it difficult for players who have skill to even be bothered to play. I just hope Kurt comes back and this isnt a stunt by him as no one should be banned from playing an online game forever, plus i do feel that if he is a little more diplomatic in his criticism then EA might actually listen to him, but again thats not to say his opinion is gospel.

Kurt play Fifa 14 on PS4. I've played it for basically the last 4 years (bought Fifa 21 and got bored after 2 months) and the gameplay on PS4 is perfect. Totally different to PS3.
PES 2021 is way better. I like the option where you can pass the ball manually by pushing the L-button or pass assisted interchangeably. Passing manually isn't always a good option if you have little time, but it's so satisfying to pass the ball where you want it, rather than the pass being scripted inaccurately or to wrong players. Especially if you utilize attack minded formations and play narrow you'll often experience horrible scripting. Won't go back to Fifa until EA adopt a similar solution.

And that's the big gamechanger for me with the new PES 2021 dynamic passing feature: you have to learn and decide according to what situation it's beneficial (take advantage of the spaces in another way than possible if you play assisted for instance, or play the ball out of reach of the opposition's players), if you want to use manual passing at all.
In as much as his breakdown of the game is very accurate. I’ll say for now just let go off the criticism like take your feet up the pedal a bit.
