Love the short video with tips.
In junior high we carved stamps into large erasers ( the larger " gum" earsers, not the small red ones) It's fun to do, and cheap enough to practice with on.

That's really awesome! I have a question. For me, making my first ever post apoc costume, what would you consider must have tools? I'm currently in an apartment, so I don't really have space for more complex things like power tools
sturdy needle and thread can get you started, although not all materials will be doable. pliers. scissors. fabric paints + gloves.. hey i might actually make a video about low-level starter gear sometime! good thing is a lot of this stuff keeps being useful even later
