One of the best things on all of CZcams. The images he paints are so vivid and the story moves so powerfully to where you know it’s going to go, but all it is is three guitar chords and a voice.
To rate in terms of his self-penned musical achievements, IMHO this song is in second place with "The Chair" being the best. I just don't see how "The Chair" can be beat. There is no song like it. And Marty is the greatest/singersongwriter of all time.
I am that man sitting behind the bar, staring at him in awe as he sings for 8 minutes straight
You have to be born with this amazing talent to write and sing like Marty. No one else like him.
As great as 1959's El Paso was, this answer song of sorts is just over the top pure genius. An absolute masterpiece of high drama.
Absolutely incredible, a short story, a song, a poem, all in one by the man, the myth, the legend.
I love how it’s the sister song to El Paso, from Feleena’s perspective
a song of love and tragedy by the greatest singer songwriter and performer who ever lived unequalled

Hank Sr. and Marty IMHO were the two most talented singer/songwriters in the history of C&W. I know I will catch some hell for this comment.
This is by FAR the very best version. Thank you
The best song ever from El Paso y Santa Fe... Feleena (Felina) 2022 here
When you can sit, play 3 or 4 cords, and make a Masterpice. What an amazing time.
My god what a voice. It just drag's you in. God bless you Marty.
No matter how many times I play this classic I still feel tears . Such a great tune.
Out in New Mexico, many long years ago
Marty Robbins was more than a singer, he is a story teller. I can listen to him tell stories like this for hours.
I will never understand that this vid hasn't more views.
Marty Robbins was the greatest. His voice lives on forever.
Marty Robbins Ei Paso Triilogy is one of the greatest ever. The original videos are magnificent.
Awesome, totally solo with no backup band or singers and just Marty with his favorite Martin 5-18 guitar.
