Part of my NA journey (Since Jan 1990) was to quit going to doctors. I am a fucking hypochondriac. I was trained as a kid by my mother a nurse to pop pills. I was running to doctors and popping pills decades after she died of a prescription drug overdose. I had to take page eleven of the basic text very seriously as recommended by other(s) in the program when it said "Most of us ended up in jail or sought help through medicine, religion and psychiatry. None of these methods was sufficient for us. Our disease always resurfaced or continued to progress until in desperation, we sought help from eachother in Narcotics Anonymous. " And to summarize that briefly they told me: "Prayer and Meditation, Karen, not Prayer and Medication". Hope you get a laugh out of that and stay alive as I have been able. You are better off with urine therapy and a raw vegan diet and distilled water than any drug put out by big pharma. The most effective drugs on the market are made from urine anyway.

It was an unlike i am use to. THE VERY PIT YOU DIG FOR ME WILL BE THE VERY PIT YOU HAVE DIG FOR YOURSELF. I guess being black would not count for job losses

The most success I've ever had in NA was switching my addiction to success. After doing the 2nd step and realizing I was the God of my understanding and was told I couldn't say that I tried science and physics and they said that wont work either. You can use a doorknob as a higher power I ran and never turned back. In AA I was 19 Male. and I had a 75 year old Male who wanted to be my sponsor who as it turns out liked to try to groom his sponsees to fuck him. I ran from the programs and had more success outside of the rooms then I ever would have it the rooms. I got my own place got a high paying job and dont associate with any dope fiends
Eddie Congdon Thank GOD!!! I been Clean 3 Years and only been to About 9 meetings . Too many people trying to hook up and so called Hangout!! Not ALL Are like That Truly 💯🤟 I just don’t have them locally.

Awe Cruz you just like to fish, and I try not fish like you , It's Your cry for help. Don't have to convince me you don't really give a fuck , may have to convince others tho, try caring n sharing, using your own heart, not just that head, which is amazing, but might hurt people while your trying to save them.
Ive had people bully me...females at other jobs...this didnt sit well w me...she justifies "in this new world" justifying her position...separating herself by her education...mmmm Idk

Why would you be so rude unicorn, to someone seeking recovery and caring enough to share it with you , no the addict sharing was not a walking talking basic text, that did not mean, shes not enough. Was greatful she got the message, and worked thru some trauma stuff in NA , but prob with out your support or your friends , at all.
