"Narcotics Anonymous (NA) describes itself as a "fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem" following the Twelve Steps and the Twelve Traditions developed by Alcoholics Anonymous, and it is the second-largest 12-step organization.
As of May 2010 there were more than 58,000 NA meetings in 131 countries.
Because no attendance records are kept, it is impossible to estimate what percentages of those who come to Narcotics Anonymous remain active in NA over time. The only sure indicator of the program's success in attracting members is the rapid growth in the number of registered Narcotics Anonymous meetings in recent decades and the rapid spread of Narcotics Anonymous outside North America.
In 1978, there were fewer than 200 registered groups in three countries.
In 1983, more than a dozen countries had 2,966 meetings.
In 1993, 60 countries had over 13,000 groups holding over 19,000 meetings.
In 2002, 108 countries had 20,000 groups holding over 30,000 meetings.
In 2005, 116 countries had over 21,500 groups holding over 33,500 weekly meetings.
In 2007, there were over 25,065 groups holding over 43,900 weekly meetings in 127 countries.

One thing I got to say is that I've been in and out of this too long been on the streets got high destroyed my life my family life my father was an alcoholic he died as one three of my cousins drugs hepatitis and they and I'm still here I just want somebody to be a sponsor to me and just help me through what I'm going through I don't go to the meetings no more I just want somebody to keep me focused I'm going to keep going to my Dr therapist take my meds listen to the speakers deal with the cleaning people that's all I need right now because every time I get around certain people and I'm staying with my church people thank you so much for all of you different people speaking cuz you're helping me out God bless

I enjoyed listening 2 u Raymond. The reason being, "One addict helping another addict is w/o parallel." Thank u 4 sharing ur experience, strengths & hopes. I'm thankful 4 being apart of the "No Matter What Club!" I must stay vigilant, I must stay connected & I must stay FOCUS.
This was amazing. I get so caught up with life sometimes that I forget were I came from and what my main focus should always be. Stopping the drugs was just the beginning of my journey. I used to do HNI for a long time in several facilities. I loved it so much and I hope I can find the time to get back into it one day. I would love to go to some women's prisons in my area one day, and I know if I stay clean I'll find my journey there. Your experience with your son was relieving to hear. I recently had to talk to my daughter about those things of things and I was almost in tears in front of many people wondering how I could teach her something I was never taught myself. I was clueless. I had no words and really no clue but somehow I ended up doing just great and everything just came too me, all the right things to say or not say. I realized what a fucken great Mom I was in that moment and I was so grateful too be clean. These kinds of moments push me on in my hardest moments. Anybody can stay clean and find a new way of life because I am proof of that and so are you. I love my NA family!

I enjoy coming to these videos and hearing the speaker tell their stories and experiences etc. I would rather come on here and pull these videos up rather than driving to the nearest meeting and going to sit in there. Thank you for uploading these!!
One of the best things i ever heard any speaker say was become a student of N/A. If any of this info helps keep you clean for a day you will forget it tomorrow. When you study maths and stop doing it you get crap at it until you revise again. So i write the bits down i need from these videos in a book and underline all the sections in the N/A book (or you can record yourself speaking them if you cant write) and the more i revise the more i understand it. I can hear a saying 499 times but wont understand it until the 500th time because i think i know best or this disease separates me and stops me from truly hearing. So when i write it down and read the bits that apply to me daily i understand faster and have to suffer less.

This is me. I went out with religious zeal. My zeal wasn’t even a relationship though. Just a concept. I turned my back on NA and after almost 2 years of being out my life has become completely unmanageable. I was 4.5 years clean but never worked the program. Life got busy and good. Now the pain is so real. So deep, so visceral. The God of my understanding has led me back. I whole heartedly believe that the entirety of the program of NA including really working the steps is God’s will for my life. God help me to be honest, open minded and willing.

Hi my name is samantha and iv been clean for 10month and I come from England London City uk and every thing you saying I'm relating to most of that where it takes time for your feet to catch up with your mouth OMG YOU JUST SAID IT YOUR TALKING MY LIFE MATE and when my nan passed I was like how can there be a god when my nans gone and my life was turned inside out upside down ripped in to little pieces and I never thought I'd ever put them pieces back together but I have I'm clean now I have a roof over my head not asleep in a door way I have my son back and my daughter and they live with me I wake up with a smile on my face I'm breathing and I see my kids beautiful smiles and I'm so happy now I'm just happy to be breathing because sometimes I think to my self what iv put my body through should I even be here but thank MY GOD I ÀM
