7 months clean 💜

4th day sober. I'm still shaking and crying. The guilt and pain is so raw and so strong! I want to meet and hug this man so bad. He's telling his life and I never related to someone this much.

I'm crying because listening to him is like seeing myself his story and feelings are so much like me. Is he me? I felt very alone. I hurt a lot of people with my bad behavior by drinking they would forgive me and the cycle repeated. I kept thinking next time is different but it never is. I feel like I'm nothing without my beer and completely worthless and faulty no matter what I do. Day 4 sober, 2nd meeting tonight.

Is he me? This is me 100 percent. I cannot stress enough how much I am like this guy, same experiences, same feelings. I thought I was the only one on earth who felt and acted this way. I wish I could meet him.

Another great day to be alive sober clean

I feel so much self delusion and self condemnation and shame of self i am clinging to old ideas and old ways of living self will run riot self centered fear selfishness ego divides me we shut ourselves off from the sunlight of the spirit resentments and prejudices against other faiths and pride in believing that we know everything about God but this is playing God fear of unknown fear of after life fear of choosing the wrong God there isn't a wrong God we trust infinite God rather than our small human selves. I couldn't say i don't know how or I'm afraid self will is false pride about my faith journey God is much wider than religion seeking God is a journey eternal journey not for first 2 years remain honest open minded and willing we seek God we never no n exception are cured from alcoholism one day at a time 1. We are alcoholics and can not manage our own life 2. We come to believe an infinite power can restore us to sanity as lack of power is our dilemma not lack of religion 3. We made decision to turn our will and life over to care of God however we each conceive of God we have no opinion on this pride in reverse self loathing and self pity i don't care what happens to me God i know your larger than me i just can't live like this anymore. Level my pride God i surrender level my pride i want to resurrender and recommit to alcoholics anonymous there was nothing to base marriage on get back into AA i drank because i didn't go to AA i have to give to receive and i have to receive my creator i am willing you take all of me good and bad please remove from me the shortcomings in my character that prevent me from being of maximum service to you willingness to turn my will over to alcoholics anonymous recovery, unity, service level my pride.

I drank away everything i had. I didn't know what was wrong with me people like you alcoholics anonymous God is not catholic God is far greater than one specific religious path the paths are all ways to God if we keep going but God

That's how we get better by being loved better love us into health regardless of religion God loves every single one of us the same the Muslim the Christian they weren't alcoholic and i was i can't blame Islam for being an alcoholic i am no different one of many

We are all alcoholics we all share the same exact disease called alcoholism God loves Muslims God loves jews God loves Tameem and he is native American God loves not a catholic more than native American there is no division ❤ i choose not to keep a narrow mind this is absolutely a spiritual program rather than a religion. All inclusive i can't afford to be exclusive realm of the spirit is always inclusive and not divisive if it's dividing me this is my ego edging God out

As Bill W suggested 'don't make a project of the Steps, we will find at the end of the day we have done them all.

resentment is such a biggie. I used to think a certain person didn't like me and would feel overwhelmed when in fact, that person is as sick as me. Big eureka moment that comes with age.

33 yrs sober...thank God for OLD time a.a. seems to have gotten watered down over the yrs .😢...MANY pursuit into the gates of insanity or death.
