Dedede is one of those characters who you don’t think is annoying at all at first, but then you have a pivotal moment when you fight one.
Tilting your opponent is a very important part of every ddd's gameplan. There is no other reason why his crouch is an infinite taunt
For me, it's the same with Megaman

There is a mod for Dedede that turns him into Snorlax with a giant Poké Flute hammer which makes him much more enjoyable to play against. Also seeing him float is hilarious

nah I had to uninstall that mod, his voice is just like 2 clips played over and over for everything
@@abokoblin2156 For annoying voices I usually just make an empty voice file, leave it out entirely to keep the original voice, or make my own, but I didn't find this one particularly annoying. The worst ones are when the character says complete sentences for everything lol
I had to make silent voice files for diddy kong, duck hunt and wario because they annoyed me

Kirby is also one of d3s best matchups
Depending on the matchup The Dream King def earns his victories. It’s either a sweep where we recline smugly at the end or are sweating profusely the entire match just trying to land a hit
So true, he’s super dependent on his matchups. I’ve swept the floor against characters who can’t space well
Hey, Triple D did absolutely nothing wrong. He's just a cute fellow. People just play him wrong spamming the gordo, so it's not the character it's the player... also, he is voiced by Sakurai himself, at least in smash.

The correct di for dedede’s up air is down and away, BUT if you do it too early you’ll switch to the other side and die INSANELY early.

@CT_stunts why do people say ddd is bottom tier? He’s one of my hardest matchups because I don’t know how to get around that gordo without getting hit by hit. I probably can’t complain since I main ness but he doesn’t seem so bad as Doc or Ganon
Playing as dedede is the most hypocritical thing you can do, I say this as one myself. You complain about other characters being stupid all the time because they combo you to hell but at the same time deliberately act as obnoxious as possible

ddd is one of my favorite video game characters
but in smash...
he's big, has negative mobility, has a really bad out of shield game and he's a superheavy with no kill throw
i wanted to play him, but its really easy to space your direct approaches badly so that your moves are not safe
so... dedede will most of the time play defensively with gordow
i'm not crying about that, its just a fact and there's nothing bad about that
and i wish the character had more options for close combat
but mad respect for all the mains who stuck with him and found stuff that he can do

Decently Safe Things DDD can do:
Up Smash Out of Shield (Better if you Parry.)
Neutral Air fastfall into Up Tilt
Using forward tilt near the edge
Forward air is a decent tool for outranging a lot of other moves
Down B has some armor so you can tank a hit and dish out a power attack.
Neutral B can be used to catch someone off guard and create some distance.
Yes Dedede's whole neutral relies on him throwing Gordo. It's not like its the only thing he can do though.

King Dedede is almost impossible to beat in Quickplay with bad connection. He's still a bottom 3 character though.
DDD, K.rool, Zelda, to a extent DK and even bowser.
All are dishonest Wifi characters
Found puff more annoying than dedede but ok
I still sometimes wonder why Dedede is a big character in Smash even tho realistically he's about as tall as Sonic, man this game sucks so much 😭
