Would you film it on just a pvs 14 and point a ir laser? Curious to see if the thermal “fov” will block you from seeing ir laser in thermal overlay and maybe try to look through a window aswell.
do you have any tips on settings tips or modes tips on the unit? I just find my unit picking literally everything up causing blowouts and its just waaaay to much info to process on the move. its like the start of your video where the heat sigs of the floor and everything gets picked up
If one were to purchase a C2 or CE2, is the CE2 worth the bigger price for an external power source/proprietary power cord over the internal battery C2?
IMO yes, you only get a few hours on the C2 vs the 8 hours or so with the battery pack. It's also less weight hanging off your face, which translates to a lower impact on your neck.
@@LordPerique I figure that's the case. Thanks for the heads up. I ended up getting the C2 because an external battery pack is now offered for the C2 and C5. That way I have an option to run externally if need be or internal/external power since the CE2 and CE5 can only run external.
Obviously the CE5 is better than the 2 but the 5 is over my budget. Do you think the CE2 is worth getting it? Or should I be saving a little more to get the CE5?
Yes. As long as it has the mount to grab the infinite focus stop ring (the ring behind the objective lens. See link to a photo where I mounted a PAS-29 COTI on my PVS-7 www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/IMG_9538.jpg
@Solscud007 OK was curious because a buddy of mine picked up a PVS7 style NVG at a "gun show/swap meet" and i was wondering if it's possible to "trick it out"... Well, between that and trying to find a replacement for the mount connected to the headset itself, as the "angle headset" wheel seems to have gone on a walkabout/lost and its hard to use without it.
@Solscud007 This is the first time I've ever played around with night vision goggles. They're quite rare up here in Canada, So I have no idea what I'm doing.

Do you also happen to know if the external battery packs are compatible with the C2 and C5 battery units?
They are. Read my review of the CE2 on the Firearm Blog.

@@xdejablu3x yeah im gonna get the eyepiece adaptor for the CE2 eventually, might be a bit awkward lol
@@LordPerique Maybe? I was thinking into getting one myself as well or either that walk around with the fusion chonk combo in hand. Lol

I would get a pas29 COTI instead of the C2.
@@Solscud007 thanks for the response but can you explain why?
@@despacito111better software, fewer false positives. And similar price.

@@Shinzon23 You probably just need a rhino mount. They are cheap and plentiful.
