I agree with a lot of these points, for sure. About equipment, I used to film my old videos on my laptop, and, looking back, the quality was really rough, but it worked at the time. Now luckily I have a camera, but it took me a while to finally film on one, lol. You're also so right about the full-time job thing, even I, a music channel, have learned to upload consistently and improve editing. I used to post all kinds of random videos years ago, but now I mostly stick to covers and reviews of music.
I love the point about connecting with your audience. I have made legimate friends through interacting with my viewers and supporting their channels and content and such. :)
Also, I'm not sure if you remember me, but over a year ago, you found my channel through an old tag video, and you were my 50th subscriber. It's good to find your channel again to see that you've gained over 3,000 subscribers since that time :)

Very useful video that also reminds me of your videos where you give good advice to new or small CZcamsrs and where you show how you film and edit videos. For me my channel is not eligible for monetisation because I only have around 150 subscribers. Whenever I receive a pleasant comment on my videos I tend to reply to them as soon as I can but I have received hate comments on my videos in the past so I eventually deleted them and blocked the people who made them. When I was at university I uploaded a lot of my progressive animation work as part of my courses so I could embed that work into my blogs for my university courses but since I left university I focused more on general lifestyle videos with the occasional vlog and entertainment video.
