My follow up compression test gave me just over 250 on the tester which makes sense since we swung the APG a bunch in warm weather and didn’t give it a chance to cool down.
In my opinion this is the best bat LS has put out to date. OG APG and Brady’s 240 were my 2 favorites before this drop.

The only caveat I'd add is if both bats were 26oz, instead of the 27oz OG APG, I'm guessing the Velo would have matched even better. However, after seeing this, I'm excited to swing the new APG4 when it drops.
I always appreciate your honest reviews and opinions. With that said, I just ordered mine today and it's on the way. I saw the break in information on LS web-site. I do soft toss and BP quite a bit so it won't take long. Your opinions as well as Big Chef are the ones I trust the most. Keep up the great work!
Those 220 LS Genesis bats were the hottest 220s ever. Pretty nice that the 240's can match them at similar compression.

If you’re a good hitter any bat will work. Ok some will
Give you a little more pop than others sure but the tech nowadays is great no matter the company. So there is no special pill with this either. If you suck as a hitter a good bat ain’t helping you
Would like to see a comparison of the latest Louisville Genesis demo and rating them.. curious since some same specs if resprays or are they different? this one sounds hot.. love the 1 piece.

Any mention of how many swings are on the OG 220 APG after testing at the end of the video?
Picked up the new balanced one piece Genny and it got a paint seam 10 swings in as well. I wish they would figure out the paint issues

Oof, that’s a tough one. My 2 favorite hats. You’ll be plenty happy with the Brady though. But you also won’t be disappointed if you make the switch.
Dude, that Brady is a good bat. 12 inch barrel + full ounce end load KILLS 52's.
Should have asked on the new APG video but if only using hot dots (Canada) would you pick the big chef onyx or the new APG? No luck finding a Resmondo.

AH! Just picked up the new Gold Vanilla Gorilla! We use the Hot Dots up here... I think the APG4 might be the better option. Thoughts?
Both will perform great with those. It’s going to be a personal preference thing
I've heard people say that it's not necessarily the performance at equal psi between a 220 and 240 that makes a difference in performance but that the 220s can make it to that lower psi before breaking
Yeah many 220s got insanely low. I never had an APG fail before breaking but I’ve seen some FireFlex 220s reach 150 and not break
@@AverageDudesSlowpitchTotally! I like Easton and was swinging the 220 Fireflex bats prior to picking up a 220 Geny. I was getting frustrated because the 220 FF's failed so quick! A 220 Geny, safely passing could do what a failing Fireflex could do. AND hit the 52's better (Canuck).
That said, I still have a couple 220 FF's. I have a 12inch Helmer, OG FF that is testing like, 170 right. Thing is literally a senior bat. Lol

I bought the 2023 Griffey last year with the same end load but mine is a 2-piece. Is there that much of a difference to warrant me purchasing the 1-piece Purcell in your opinion?
I think the new Powertech is a big improvement and for me I even prefer it to the Brady at this point which was my go to since it's drop.

What is the difference from the APG4 and the Vice 1 peice from last year? Which is better in your opinion
APG is .75 EL to the .5 of the Vice. Vice is Powerxcoil and the APG is PowerTech. I think the APG is a big improvement over the Vice

I watch all of your videos and either I've missed it or you just started, but I noticed you are hitting the same side of the bat the whole time. I remember a video many years ago with Brett Helmer saying he only ever hit one side of the bat which made sense to me since he gets free bats and wants the best performance all of the time. Do you do it to get the most performance out of the hits you take for review purposes or is it a superstition thing that you do for every bat you swing even in games?
To be honest I don’t pay attention to it. I’ll have to go back and see if that’s something I’ve consistently done. Thanks for pointing it out
Noticed you swung 26oz in 240 and 27oz in 220. Swing weights the same?
They both swung pretty true. That was just due to what we were able to get for the review
Love your videos. But it’s not a true apples to apples exit speed comparison with two bats that are different weights.
I agree. I’m willing to bet the 240 would have beat it by even more in a 27oz. For me, I can still maximize my swing speed with 27/28 and have had my fastest speeds with 27/28. I’ll have a 27oz gamer showing up soon and will do a follow up velo with that. 114 PR here I come 😂
