I needed to see how you fasten the saddle as it were originally equipped to the seat tube, but instead you showed how to remove everything from the saddle and then fasten it to your old seat tube. My bike didn’t come with that seat tube you showed, with the mechanism for screwing the saddle tight to it. My seat tube was completely plain but the saddle looked exactly like your new one. However I don’t see how I can fasten them together. The saddle is easily lifted off the seat tube and I need something to make them lock tight together. Any suggestions?

My Schwinn came with a seat about 9 inches long and at best 5 inches wide. No way was I going to be able to sit let alone ride my bike. I switched out for an extra wide seat. This tutorial really helped.

You can always count on someone to be thinking of others on CZcams 👍. First video that came up too. Exact seat. I was struggling with the end piece from the other seat thinking i needed it to fit this schwinn bicycle seat, but nope just did what you did.
Wow, this gave me so much peace of mind because I was in exactly this situation with no experience and no internet. I went to install my new seat and realized I [probably] would have to use the old mount: I had all these brand new parts I didn't use, and I was super nervous about that. I wasn't sure I put the old mount back together correctly either, LOL. By blind luck, I somehow did it right, and this has made me feel much safer riding it. Thanks!

Chacho..... At one point I was wishing a second person would come up and hold the seat post for you when you were putting those little parts together. It drives me crazy to fumble with stuff like that.
This actually really helped. I couldn’t figure out why the mounts were different. I didn’t realize you could take the whole thing off
