Same here got a new commute seat to replace the stock one. I had to relearn how to ride a bike at 23 cause it's been over a decade since I last road one as a kid. For the 3 hours I road that stock seat from hell, my butt was sore for 3+ days. That Demon Saddle rubbed me Raw and made it painful to sit for days, I have No idea how people can ride those stock seats from hell. Especially without crushing your family jewels if you are a guy. I had to get a new seat and hopefully, this commute seat is more bearable.
You should change the actual seat not the post. I still don't know how you remove that top piece to release the seat. I have to return the saddle to the seller!
I noticed that in the preview so I wondered if anyone else explained it. It would be a good idea to get a open-end and box wrench combo set. The end with the open part is also directional. Always turn with the hump part "following" your hand motion. What you do not want to do is use it wrong while making a demonstration video.

when you were untighting the bolt to the seat you were using the wrench wrong but when you re tighten the bolt you used it the right way!
