My words -
This torch is for specialist professional use only. It can draw a great deal of attention and be seriously offensive when in use. Both high and low beam produce a very vivid, piercing and intense light that has a blue tinge, akin to the latest car headlights on BMW's and Mercedes, etc. This torch was used by the Army on machine gun mounts in Sierra Leone and ideal for long distance riot control and also used by the English Sea King search and rescue helicopter units.
Temperature of the glass lens after I measured it with a digital probe reached 158°F (70°C) after 20 minutes continuous use. The Infra -red filter will not last long exposures due to heat involved and caution is advised the lens not be obstructed by any flammable material. The infra-red filter used in this video does not come with the torch and is only demonstrating the effect by balancing a sheet of IR plastic over the lens. Vigilance is needed in order not to warp or melt the filter using this make-shift method of producing an invisible infra-red beam.
Filmed on a Canon XA10. The Canon XA10 camera comes equipped with infra-red mode with the viewable option of green or white output. I found the IR white filter rendered better results than green.

crappy reflector, google Maxabeam, its in like every single hollywood movie... has very expensive optics and the element, but the result is you have variable degree for the beam, with the minimal 1 degree angle, practically a white laser

I would love to find something like that in a bigger version. Not really interested in paying 3,500 for a Microfire though. There's gotta be something of a compromise?

Looks like the thing has a plastic case. The focus isn't nearly as tight as a Megaray or maxabeam light and its way to bulky compared to a polarion PH50. Looks like its a emergency light for boating and not water proof or even resistant.
I'd stick this on the hood of my car and use it as a headlight. Lol
