WARNING: THIS VIDEO CONTAINS CLOSE UPS OF A DRESSED SUTURE. ...that I probably should have covered up or not shown at all. I had some skin cancer removed that morning and the back of my hand is a mess. So don't look if you are squeamish. Now, back to our normal programming...
Fuzz fans rejoice! Thermion give you four types of vintage and classic fuzz, switchable octave in/out with a blend control; clean blend and switchable high and low cut so you can perfectly tailor the Stone Age to your guitar and amp rig. What's not to love?! It sounds very vintage and raw and it looks cool too. So if you're into classics like the Maestro, Fuzz Face and Muff, the Stone Age might just satisfy all of your wishes. Rock!

Your wound hasn’t affected your awesome playing, you’re one of my favourite CZcams guitarists. Everything you demo I just watch for your playing. 👍 Pedal ain’t bad either.

Hope your hand heals and may God Bless you! I am a musician for almost 50 years. I have been a professional since I was 10 years old; my Dad was a musician. In 2009 I had Stage 4 small cell squamous carcinoma in my throat. After radical treatments of chemo and radiation I had to learn how to eat, talk and sing all over again. A year out I was back to playing and singing so it can be done just never give up! You are a fine player and enjoy your videos! Keep it up!

Good on you, Kenny. I'm glad you've recovered and can enjoy yourself once again. I have a heap of these little buggers up my arm and on my face. I'll just have to learn to manage them and have the rogues cut out as necessary. The joys of being a whitey in the fierce Australian sun!

I love your playing! The backing track is very late 80s/early 90s smooth jazz fusion and I'm totally here for it

Thanks. Yeah, I love that style too. Kind of Steely Dan-ish. Unfortunately I'm no jazz player and have no real theory knowledge so I just wing it and hope for the best. 😅

Brett. Very curious of your preferred string gauge friend!? I've been learning on 10s. Mainly because my fave plays on them. I've realized over the last couple years I've only really tried 9s on cheaper stock out of box guitars. I thought they felt a bit wiggly. Then I realized one of my older guitars I sold I talk about alot which helped me alot super strat LTD 25.5 scale too and 9s stayed on it. I absolutely loved the way it felt. So now, visiting my son this Thanksgiving he said he restrung his prestige 7 with 9s as they were old spare pack and usually used 11s. He says he might just keep them. Hahah. I was just curious. Thanks again my talented friend!!!!!! Great review.

A fair question, Robert. Firstly there's the scale length of the guitar and the hardware to consider. A Gibson is shorter and generally easier to play (although they're crap at staying in tune) than a Fender which usually has a longer scale length. A Jag would be an exception to that rule. Then comes the hardware on the guitar. For example a hard-tail, string-thru Strat will have great tension than a Strat with a floating trem. I'd put 10-46 on both however and enjoy the experience of the tighter hard-tail setup. A Gibson would probably get 10's too although it will be slightly easier to play because of the shorter scale length. A Floyd equipped Strat (like most Charvels, for example) will get 9-42s because the tension seems a little tighter to me and any guitar with a Floyd wants to be played with extra vigour, in my opinion. Fender usually factory ship with 9's on most of their guitars, perhaps to make the first experience less challenging for the customer in the shop. But the reason I favour Strats, Teles and most of the Ernie Ball derivatives is because they put up a little bit of 'fight' with 10's. That bit of fight is a good thing when you're on stage and the adrenaline's pumping. Action wise, I set up all of my guitars 2/32 between the bottom of all strings and the top of the 12th fret. Charvels are the exception as they're factory set at 1.5mm - great for hero playing. Rock on, Robert and thank you for your support during 2021. I hope next year is a great one for you and all who frequent this channel. Cheers.

There must be at least 100 fuzz pedals on the market. Anyone wanting to buy a fuzz has a daunting task ahead.... 😳😳😳😳
