Can't wait for all the "Best Indy Game" discussions this year.
I shot these videos (all but Square Enix) and can explain how we pulled off those dolly shots in those very tight spaces. Thanks for noticing! It's not easy.
Great job, it looks great.
Fantastic work! Hope we see it again next year 😊
I respect the guy in the 2nd square. He was actually watching & listening 90% of the time. To actually react. 2nd square guy I appreciate your character.
No he’s just mostly quiet 90 percent of the time 😂
This Xbox Direct was great! Such a nice presentation with great production. Indiana Jones looks great and more important fun to play! The Wolfenstein dna is in it with it's dark humor. Cannot wait!
I’m going to be honest that Indy game looks good did not expect that art style but I like it! They could’ve gone with realistic graphics but went with a more stylized approach akin to the movie posters.
Hopefully they nail it
It looks like the movies. Sweaty.
Got some super Vibes of Wolfenstein with the action and perspective and they're really good at killing Nazis I always really liked and appreciated the modern wolf and style action combat and feel
Indiana jones gameplay direction feels like James bond blood stone with first and third person integration... It's not a bad thing as blood stone was best modern action james bond game.... Blood stone really felt like daniel Craig game and if they integrate first/third person rightly, we might have best adventure game...
@THUGPUTIN I can see that actually. Bloodstone was super underrated. I actually get more Metroid Prime feelings though. From the gameplay that is, obviously not the artstyle!
I agree with Ben, this direct was really well done. It flowed smoothly and kept my attention throughout.
This is not a criticism this is not me saying you shouldn't feel this way love what you love it is all good but there are no louder gamers than Gamer-Who-Thinks-Something-Should-Be-Third-Person I have found haha.
Was a good 8/10 show. Much love to all.
Indie has got me so hype!!! Machine games knows what they are doing!
Troy baker is the voice of Indy for this game
Watching the Avowed part and I really think they would gain from "show don't tell".
That camera setup Ben was obsessed with is a type of slider called a dana dolly. :)
@34:13: Yes, JeffM, yes, she was...
@25:45: JeffM with the shade! 😎
The Voice Actor is Troy Baker, aka Joel from the Last of Us and Joker from Arkham Origins
Visions of mana looks incredible
Indy definitely looks and sounds like Troy Baker doing his best Harrison Ford impression to me
Yeah. He doesn't *quite* have the voice down and sometimes Troy's voice sneaks out. If I didn't know what Troy sounds like (impossible really) then I think it wouldn't bother me at all, but I can't unhear Troy.
Something about that Mana game feels a little slow.
@12:49: 😂
Lucasfilm has the likeness rights for Harrison due to Han solo and Indiana Jones
Time to sell my useless PS5 and get an Xbox series x 😎
I just hope Avowed is better than Outer Worlds
Why? Outer Worlds was a great game
These youtube ad breaks are really something else. Come on guys. Like a whole minute...
CZcams adds those automatically, we'll fix them here for you.
@@minnmax Sorry if I came out hostile. Apologies and thanks.
I'm without a doubt going to play Indy because its Indy but was hoping for 3rd person and for them to make their own version of Indy instead of Harrison Ford because of the uncanny valley aspect especially because he's not being voiced by him... Troy does a great job from what we hear, but I can't unhear the differences.
Indy looks good but this hasn't really done anything to assuage my intense skepticism of the choice to go FPS for this. I love Machine Games take on Wolfenstein - so I know they can make a great FPS - so I hope this is good, but I'm probably going to be highly skeptical until I get to play it.
But why? What's wrong with 1st person? It's worked amazingly in many games for decades. I'm getting some strong Metroid Prime feelings front the gameplay.
I can't think of a single game where ppl got riled up over a game being first-person that didn't end up being great. Cyberpunk, Metroid Prime, etc. are good examples of this
So... in Avowed you can FINALLY switch weapons on-the-fly in a game AND meet all your favorite Starfield quest givers again? ; )
Oh. Look at this leather bound, hair slicked backed, chain wearing bad a$$ walking the streets of a Japan. I bet he’s a rockstar. No, he just ensures monsters and character companions are kawaii enough
that Indiana Jones game has this mobile game sheen to it that I can't shake 😒 and that's not even taking into account that they made a first person game for one of the most popular characters of all time who has one of the most recognizable silhouettes in media history, and then modeled his face on Harrison Ford even though they got Troy Baker to voice him. just baffling.
It's hardly baffling at all. It's made by a team who have always made First person games. Even before Wolfenstein, and even before they founded Machine Games, they were making First Person games like Chronicles Of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay.
It's still looking incredibly faithful to the Series even if Indy isn't on screen 100% of the time. Not all games should be 3rd person. We already have Tomb Raider and Uncharted. Getting something different is a huge win

@@jimmythegamer2231 you're a millennial aren't you
The whole avowed segment was insufferable - everybody sounded so forced, false, fake and combined with the music, i don't understand how anyone thought it was good. I'm guessing the game has to be a huge stinker, if it's framed like that. The Senua section is so much better with not only apparent sincerity, but also A VARIETY OF TONES, it sounds like actual humans talking, like devs getting to be people. Just very strange, threw me off.
Some people aren’t good on camera. And Obsidian doesn’t miss so unless they fuck up this time I will have faith in what they make
I wouldn't call it "insufferable" but it definitely felt much more "formal" and "corporate" than some of the others, which were more laid back and having some fun with the whole thing. That's what different company cultures will do though. Not really indicative of anything else.
Indiana Jones looks really rough ..... who is this game for?
I thought it looked really good, not sure what your concern is
the gameplay looks horrible
Tomb Raider meets Wolfenstein? I'm cool with that :)
It looks awesome.
People that love action adventure games? People that loved games like Chronicles of Riddick, Wolfenstein? People that want to whip some nazi's?
Indiana Jones looks awful
I mean, it is published by Bethesda, so maybe the title should be "Indiana Jones and the Game Breaking Bug"? No? How about Indiana Jones and The Mods Will Fix It (TM)"?
By all means you should probaly change your screenname to "Coping Harder"
the only miss MachineGames has had so far is Youngblood when Zenimax made them and Arkane do a co-op thing. in my expeience, neither mainline Wolfenstein game had a "game-breaking bug" or any need for mod fixes.
last i checked machinegames hasn't really had any structural problems with their games seems like you are mistaking bethesda for bethesda softworks
Oh so original and funny. You win all the prizes for comedy and edginess!
