Brits living abroad. I lived in London for 15 years before moving to continental Europe. There is no other city like London. It’s a magnificent melting pot where different cultures meet and flourish. London is the only city that I chose to live in and I’m a proud Londoner. I still go home regularly. There is so much to do and to see there. Yes, absolute world class!

I am a part of the street dance community of London and it's the best in the world in terms of vibes and creativity. It is so diverse and everyone is really creative compared to many other dance communities where it's all about winning a competition. Here, it's more about respect and good vibes. quick aside you got one of the tube facts wrong. the city & south london railway didn’t open in 1863 it opened in 1890. however what did open in 1863 was the metropolitan railway which is also now a part of the underground but it just opened as a steam train (giving you an idea of how ridiculously old it is)

@Karl Foxlow Agreed. I was born within the sound of Bow Bells but I won't be staying. I'll be selling up and moving out. London is not the city it once was on a number of points. It is no longer my city.
I can understand why London attracts people from all over the world. It looks appealing.
But as a Londoner, I think that what made it successful is dying. Its glory is over and fading.

London is a city steeped in history, offering numerous historical sites to explore. Here are some must-visit historical attractions in London:
      1. Tower of London: Built by William the Conqueror in the 11th century, the Tower of London has served as a royal palace, prison, and treasury. Explore its fascinating history, including the Crown Jewels and the famous ravens.
      2. Westminster Abbey: A UNESCO World Heritage site, Westminster Abbey is a magnificent Gothic church where many kings and queens have been crowned, married, and buried. It's also the final resting place of notable figures like Isaac Newton and Charles Darwin.
      3. Buckingham Palace: The official residence of the British monarch, Buckingham Palace is an iconic landmark in London. Witness the Changing of the Guard ceremony and explore the State Rooms during the summer months.
      4. British Museum: Discover a vast collection of art and artifacts from around the world at the British Museum. Highlights include the Rosetta Stone, Egyptian mummies, Greek sculptures, and the Elgin Marbles.
      5. St. Paul's Cathedral: Designed by Sir Christopher Wren after the Great Fire of London, St. Paul's Cathedral is an architectural masterpiece. Climb to the top of the dome for panoramic views of the city.
      6. Houses of Parliament and Big Ben: Admire the Gothic-style architecture of the Houses of Parliament, where the British government meets. Although currently under renovation, the iconic clock tower known as Big Ben is a prominent London landmark.
      7. The British Library: Explore one of the largest libraries in the world, housing historical documents such as the Magna Carta, Gutenberg Bible, and original manuscripts by famous authors like Shakespeare and Jane Austen.
      8. Shakespeare's Globe Theatre: Experience the atmosphere of an Elizabethan playhouse at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, a faithful reconstruction of the original theater where Shakespeare's plays were performed.
      9. The Museum of London: Dive into the history of London from prehistoric times to the present day at the Museum of London. Learn about the city's Roman origins, medieval period, and modern developments.
      10. Greenwich: Visit the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, where you can stand on the Prime Meridian and explore the history of navigation. Don't miss the magnificent Painted Hall and the Cutty Sark, a restored 19th-century tea clipper.
These are just a few of the many historical attractions London has to offer. Whether you're interested in ancient history, royal heritage, or literary landmarks, there's something for everyone in this vibrant city.

London is a fantastic city, and I did live there for a time, but I have now moved to another part of the UK. Obenof the reasons being just how expensive the rents are, you get absolutely nothing for your money, even in the poorest parts of the city unless you are in council/ social housing. Also, the wealth and clasa divide in London is sickening, and it is no coincidence that the wealthier the neighbourhood, the less welcoming and friendly it is. Try fitting in in places like Chelsea, Mayfair or Knightsbridge if you dont have money or a high social class.

Nearly 70 nowadays, not born or bred in London but lived in this truly amazing city most of my life. I was born on 90 miles away and my grandfather used to bring me to London late 60s/70s and I feel in love with it.
Great video glad all photos or shots are of this great city.
Things have changed of course and this video points London as utopia which it certainly is not but it’s a good city. We have many things wrong which need to be mentioned
    1) crime is high in London especially petty crime not mass killings
    2) cleanliness- the city itself can be dirty but compared to many cities it’s actually not too bad but still needs addressing
    3) weather- can be very grey in London many a day during the year. Summers can be very humid with virtually no air condition.
    4) transportation- very old, extensive but needs new lines. It’s not easy going from east to west outer London. All major transport including roads head towards inner London
There are more negatives but to be honest the positives outstrip the negatives. London in my eyes is still dynamic, diverse, fast, historic, interesting, theatrical, music, foods, markets, bustling streets, sporting venues like no other and year round events, in other words it has something for everyone.
London right now is struggling yet in its history it has high n lows yet remains a world city in it own right.
