    I was just there a few days ago haha. I have a 2013 Pleasure way Pursuit that has the Ford E-350 v-10. It is a good option used, they are coming down in price. The cargo capacity is 2350 lbs compared to the newer sprinter ones that have only around 1200lbs. The Pursuit was only made 2013 to 2015, then they went to the diesel and called it the Plateau xl. I have had mine since 2016 and I love it other than the gas mileage which is about 10-11mpg highway going 65mph. Lots of acceleration power though.

      I've said over and over that I like Pleasure Way!! If I could find one like it I'd sure give it serious consideration! MPG is not as good as they've gotten bigger than the old van style. The pursuits are nice - congrats!

    Born Free is worth the ask, they made RVs to very high standards from the 1960s until they went out of business in 2017. Murphy's Oil Soap and polyurethane works wonders on old cabinetry. Ford E-series chassis are generally good, except for the 5.4L Triton V-8, which had some valve train issues. The 6.8L V-10 is thirstier, but much more reliable. Chevy/GMC are also good chassis, but I do miss ye olde Dodge B-series chassis (RIP 2003). There are a few new units on the Ram truck chassis, but they are generally higher end. I really don't like the outdoor TV feature. When I am outside my unit, I am doing outdoor activities or tending my fire, and can do without the distraction in either event. The Leisure Trade is an efficient use of space, sure, but that's an awful lot of faffing around to reconfigure it for lounging, dining, and sleeping on a daily basis.

      I've always liked the Born Free and it is sad they went out of business.. while crap slap together companies are going stronger than ever. LMAO I actually still use murphy's oil soap in my house! I could go on and on about missing the Dodge B series too! I pretty much NEVER sit outside my van.. the idea of sitting there watching TV is really weird to me! TV is to maybe wind down at night or when it is raining and not in the so what grab a raincoat mode. I did think it probably takes longer to set that murphy bed up than setting everything else up. Then again this was my first ever time and I bet it would be twice as quick with practice but... I'll never know there won't be a Leisure Travel in my future... lol

      @@WanderDano Yup, if I'm sitting outside my van, I'm usually cooking or grilling. I have some books for rainy days. I recommend H.D. Thoreau's "Walden".

    I really didn't like my jackknife sofa/bed. I've removed it and I'm having a different style bed designed and built.

      Yeah - just not a fan of that set-up but like you there are work arounds. :-)

    How much a/c will a 2500 generator handle? It better have a soft start, too.

      @WanderDano  Před 5 měsíci +1

      mine is 2000 and I "think" my ac is 15,000 BTU and it does fine.. about at it's limit but does fine so this should be adequate.. but it's a AC on no other large loads at the same time deal.

      @@WanderDano My class B came with an Onan 2800 and a 12,000btu a/c. The a/c got replaced with a newer Coleman Mach 3 (13,500btu) and I'm told that to start it from the generator I'll need a soft start. Haven't tried the replacement a/c yet because the very different footprint means the roof needs modifications due to old water leaks.
