I enjoyed this video. We bought a slightly larger one replacing our A and B class. It becomes the average of both. Ours is 24 ft with full slideout. Love it. Only complaint/recommendation is to improve use of cabinets by having removable shelving. I installed them including the front ones by TV staining them the same color. Manufacturer was helpful in solving some defects. Excellent service.

I know a lot of people don’t like the overcab bunks, but I really think that should be an option with this model. This model could have a lot of appeal for families (including mine) that want a roadtrip and camping vehicle without being huge. The bunk over cab would allow 4 people to sleep easily while keeping the small footprint. For those without kids, the overhead bunk provides invaluable space for this rv that desperately needs it (where do you store bedding when you’re not using it?). I can imagine a larger family bringing a tent along for the campsite, but loving this for siteseeing because there is a toilet and ability to store and make meals while out. A tent trailer could also be towed for extra sleeping. Thank you so much to the manufacturer for adding so many seatbelts. It’s such an easy way to speak to families. If anyone out there knows of a model like this with an overhead bed, please share.

Yeah to be honest I actually don't like this Class C at all. It just doesn't do it for me. It looks more suited for a tour bus than it does camping. I was really excited when I clicked on the link, but I personally think they did a poor job with the spacial use of this van.

    • @UntamedAustin
      @UntamedAustin Před 5 dny +2

Great for space but unless you are on shore power with AC you will find the temperature gets really unpleasant for sleeping. It can be 70 degrees outside and the sun hitting the bunk area can have the inside bed at 85 degrees. I did mot like the heat problem when I had my Class B. That was my experience. Plus these are often targeted at older people who dislike climbing a ladder in and out of the bunk especially at night when nature calls. But for kids or a small family the extra sleeping space is a huge plus given the caveats.

I could drive this and I don’t need to worry about hooking and unhooking a trailer. I like the safety of the cab and living are all in one. I like how there is a lot of seating/seatbelts for guests. This would be great for the beach or tailgating. I could continue. The price like everything else in today’s world a bit much. But considering cost of truck/trailer it’s a bit better. Great review.

We have owned a 5210 for a little over 2 years. Great engine and transmission, excellent going up hills and very good transmission control going down hills. We only have 7,000 miles on it and it is still breaking in and getting better MPG
The on board computer shows 11.5 to 12.0 MPG at a steady 63 miles per hour.
Exterior finish is fine, although lots of left-over sealant around the seams. I have fixed the roof leaks and rebuilt the ceiling after the winter seepage. Most of the interior plumbing leaks have been tightened up, just one bathroom sink leak to fix.
The appliances are standard and all work well, now. I fixed the wind leaks around the front 2 cabin windows with some water dam material from Amazon and some black tape. Almost looks factory installed and it sure stops the wind noise and the windows flexing at 60 Miles per hour. Or course you cannot open them any more, but the other 2 windows are enough air.
Also had good luck finding the short in the wiring to the roof lights. When the ladder screws were installed they pierced the supply wire and it would short out all the running lights. I hope I have it fixed now.
The Ford chassis and drive train are excellent as is the suspension. I have most of the fit and finish corrected, hinges, alignment, and drawer slides. Just the bathroom door hinges to replace and re-hang the door.
This 5210 is a 2021 and they were moving them thru the factory pretty quick at that time.
All in all it is a pleasure to drive.

As someone said earlier, an over-cab bed would be a great option.

Your review was great and got me really excited with this size unit. I went on RV Trader and dealer sites to look at what was available and found prices vary from dealer to dealer. My next thing was to read reviews and BOY was I shocked ! I read many bad reviews on the build quality of the Gulfstream BT Cruisers and then most everyone complained about warranty repair work and customer service from Gulfstream. I hate to say it but customer service after the sale is important and with all the bad reviews I will look elsewhere for a class c or b. I really liked the unit, but don't want major problems.

The mfg is also a family/independent in BC Canada. It has wet bath and rear dinette convert to bed as well as a cabover bed. Both the Gulf Stream and Adventurer 19 have pluses/minuses for me … either would be great. The small Class C is as you say … a good alternative to Class B for a bit more room in a similar footprint. Unfortunately we do not tend to get the same huge array of motor homes in Australia that you do in the US. As a single female traveler I loved the beds as I could leave one as a bed and still have a sofa. The only negatives I saw was that the table could have been a few cms wider, I would prefer a single induction cooktop over gas, there needs to be a cutlery drawer in the kitchen. Everything else was just brilliant. I loved the electronic awning- so easy!. The bathroom was a good size and heaps of storage. I don't want a huge motorhome but I do want comfort and some feeling of luxury and this provided all of that.

i love it, just a few things i would love to see in maybe a future model. i would want to just put the shower, toilet, and sink all in one as a wet bath to increase the amount of storage space and/or be able to increase the size of the kitchen. i hope there's a fridge option with more freezer space but i've been looking for a trailer/RV situation that has that size or bigger refrigerator. i don't know about anyone else, but i find the freezer more useful than the fridge.

I love this small motorhome. It looks great if you don’t mind how small it is. How lacking in real storage space or additional space to add more batteries. And as long as you don’t mind that it isn’t a 4 season motorhome ; it works. But for $129,000 I’m can buy a pickup truck and an Incred-I-Camper which I’m also interested in. That way I have a 4 season camper and no need for a Toad. That’s what Incredible Tiny Homes of East Tennessee has designed as a prototype towable camper. It may need a few changes, like an emergency escape window , but WOW!, a towable camper for $40,000 with a a 100 gallon fresh water tank ,and a grey water tank and a lithium battery and solar package included with a dry bath with a composting toilet but it has the ability to put in either a standard RV toilet or a household toilet if you park it on a piece of property with water/sewer ,and the Morryde steps and a mini split and an incredible ,only seen on huge 5th wheels , human body sized under bed storage. I don’t know it even looking into a Gulfstream BT cruiser RV with very little storage and very little storage space, or a space to upgrade that one battery to two or more. I don’t know. I am hoping Randy Jones decides to mass produce the incred- i- camper ( As Randy calls it) because heck a truly 4 season camper that can actually be used as a tiny home if you just want to put it on a piece of property as well. Yeah! I don’t know . I wish you and Kate could go see the Incred-i-camper prototype and see if you two like it. And what if any changes you would make to it to make it a better camper.
And no I am no way connected to Randy Jones or Incredible Tiny Homes of East Tennessee, but I am a fan of his CZcams channel Incredible Tiny Homes and I wish you and Kate or other RVers would check this prototype camper out because it seems so versatile as a camper then a tiny home when someone finally doesn’t want to or can’t go on the road anymore, but has a piece of land or place they can set it up as a tiny home.
I do love the BT Cruiser, though just for solo RVers.

On the down side, the few I've went to see to buy were ROUGH. Yes, we’re about done with RVing. We just got a new one in June, that was supposed to be delivered in February, and long story short it broke down, inside my RV garage (slide could not be retracted because of tilt-a-bed actuator failure). It caused us to have to cancel two trips that were to be about a month each, and numerous calls to RV parks to cancel, cancellation fees, etc. So, we think we are done. I’m a long time subscriber to your channel, and see the class B as a way to get out and adventure, with most likely fewer problems, and we would mostly stay in hotels, but have the van as an option if we can’t find a pup friendly hotel. In that case, she’ll sleep in the hotel, and I’d be in the “dog house” so to speak. We are still not sure if we’ll go that route, but we are so fed up with a certain RV manufacturer that we just want to largely “be done”. Alas, we are getting older, and naps along the road sometimes become necessary, filthy rest stops are just nasty, and we love having the pups with us, so maybe…. Anyway, thanks for your show and your reviews. Love watching, even if we finally decide to completely give it up.

Nice review. This is the type and size RV I prefer for one or two people plus a pet or two. You didn't mention the engine size options or the GCWR. One limiting factor for me is the modest towing capacity of 5000 pounds. A standard I use is I need something that can flat tow my off road pick up truck while the RV is at it's max GVWR. This RV's tow capacity has no extra margin of safety for me.
The main reason though for not being interested is for me, a retiree, the prohibitive price. Last year I bought an clean older Chinook RV for a good price. It has the big block 460 which the previous owner recently had rebuilt and a remanufactured transmission installed. With a 10 grand or so budget I expect to spend upgrading the suspension and interior including the electronics from solar, lithium, energy efficient heating and cooling, a kick butt entertainment system, etc; I'll still be about 90 grand ahead of the cost of one of these new RVs. No matter how nice they are.
Good luck on your future travels, I enjoy following along. Happy trails!

I had a Chinook with the V10 and two jacknife sofas and the whole time watching this I was comparing it to my Chinook. For 1/2 the $90k dealer price of this you can get a really nice used Chinook and not have to pay the crazy yearly plate fees. Currently I have a nice 2004.5 2500 Ram Cummins with a 2017 Lance 650 and I recently got 15.5 mpg across country towing a small trailer. So it’s hard to justify a change other than the wife would like a bigger bathroom and not have to pull over and go outside to get to the bathroom. So I’m keeping my eye out for a nice Chinook, their fiberglass body will last forever if kept out of the sun. And V10s are easily rebuildable. I should delete this post so others aren’t competing with me for Chinooks, but I can’t stop singing their praise, maybe Oliver Trailers will get the idea to get into this space.

They did...that's why the E-Series vans are gone, replaced with the Transit. The cutaway chassis used here is a legacy platform and will probably continue as long as there is demand but once that demand has dwindled the Transit will probably be the only cutaway you can buy.

The Transit comes with just two engine choices, the 3.5 liter v6 and the 3.5L ecoboost. These smaller engines will be working very hard when trying climb hills and towing. Once the E-Series are gone so are the V8 engines that power these and their impressive towing capacities. I'll take a V8 any day over an overworked V6,
