Looked at LSX 454. 620 HP is very good out of the crate but? I built an all aluminum DART 509 with no nitrous. Dyno 697 HP @ 6400 RPM. Full roller Comp cams hydraulic. VW bug reliability without the computer bullshit headaches of the C6. Mine is '66 C2 on Art Morrison Chassis. 2850 lbs on the truck scales. Wasted every other Corvette and fake AC Cobra I've raced at the drags including C8's. Runs mid-10's 'granny shifting' on Continental Extreme Contact Sports. Tremec T-600 5 spd. 3:36 rear. With an automatic it would run high 9's. There it is...........

What are the benefits of this swap? Can you just use the beefed up block it's self & put the LS7 heads, Dry Sump oil pan, intake, & rest of the engine salad on the car? What kind of gains would something like this net over a standard LS7? Do they make an Aluminum variant of the 454 to save on the weight any advice is welcome...
Humbler32 just go to chevrolet.com performance and look at the 454 lsx crate engine, it makes ls9 numbers without force induction, scroll down and you will see the 454 lsx. R that makes ferrari f12 numbers and its also naturally aspirated
