  • Shadow Treasurer Angus Taylor says the markets are in “absolute shock” over the recent inflation numbers.
Australia’s inflation rate rose from 3.6 per cent to 4 per cent in May.
Markets are now predicting a 67 per cent chance of a rate hike in August.
“We have seen since that inflation announcement comes out, the markets and many leading economists say we’re looking down the barrel now of 12 months without an interest rate cut and a real prospect of higher interest rates,” Mr Taylor told Sky News Australia.
“The markets … are in absolute shock on this number.
“It could be spun by some however they like it, but you can’t spin this one.”

We have been playing funky economic games for long enough. Reaching forward in time and pulling the wealth out of future generations.

What's driving it? 1.3 million immigrants imported in the last 12 months creating demand for low a supply of goods and services and housing.

It's the trillion-dollar splurge on renewables that is fueling inflation more than anything else.

Sorry when did we spend a trillion dollars on renewables? 😂🤣 Were still paying back the 840 billion that the liberals spent on nothing 😂🤣

More than that. Banks are funding hedges, who are funding fake synthetic shares. Market cannot sustain this corruption forever.

lol what caused Inflation . Just look at the housing prices. It mean higher rents . What dose people do get pay rise . Albo and friend 3 Pay rise , Nurse 30 % payrise . tradies 25 % pay rise . Where is the money coming ? All this dose is making every bussiness put up their prices. It's like you don't have any money so you keep printing more money without an increase in supplies. Its just making the prices for everything bigger

Inflation rises when it does world wide, on the back of a pandemic, when there's international conflicts and when the coalition were in power for the majority of the past two decades. When you screw a country, takes more them a term or two to repair it
