You use funny anecdotes, but you are sending a real message that truly resonates with me. I am getting my start in the real estate industry, and I have been scared to be really adventurous because of the possibility of overwhelming success. I always knew that money changes people. But you made me realize that it doesn't have to change you for the worst. It all comes down to how you, as an individual, treat others and view yourself. Thank you for teaching me that lesson.
I would suggest that money doesn’t change people but rather exudes who they really are: generous before coming into money? More than likely going to be even more generous once you come into money. Likewise, if you’re a tight fisted, uncaring asshat before coming into money then you will 100% be an even bigger one if you come into money.

So true, worked at Sotheby's. Could tell when I was speaking to our best clients when I answered the phone. They always called personally, not a secretary, they knew their account number and they were polite and considerate. Had the last laugh- when I learned that a snob from Virginia that I bent over backwards for- complained about me- few years later- it was in Town and Country that she went broke and Trump bought her farm and winery.
I am not rich. Can you give me a quick rundown of why Really Rich was happy about a negative balance and what Dieter meant by basis points? I would think a negative balance would make a banker quite salty.
Between loan interest and commissions for buying and selling non liquid holdings, the bank probably makes a fortune off of him alone. These days money is more of an idea than an actual commodity, so a negative balance doesn’t always mean a loss of you know what you’re doing with it.
Oh yeah, when the shoe shine guy, taxi driver, etc. tells you everyone is investing in something, sell it all yesterday. I got out of bitcoin forever when I overheard a wall street guy on the phone late at night telling his friend that he sucked at investment, all he had was his rolodex, and he needed help getting into bitcoin. The price dropped like 50% within the following 2 weeks.
I'm not really rich, or even close to being rich when it is regarding money. So I watch these more like "Being a dick vs being a decent person." And I have been binging the hell out of your videos since I found them a few days ago.
So from what I have gathered is the key to long term financial success so to speak, is to be hardworking, humble and to treat others with respect and kindness. Is that a fair assessment?

Your videos make me really want to do something for my family. Currently im 9 years active duty and really love the idea of getting out at 41 with a pension and medical benefits for life that cost practically nothing. I plan on keeping my nose to the stone when I get out and hopefully will be able to make a living beyond my means so my family can have total financial freedom. Currently im stacking away around $600 a month into the ROTH TSP and i had a lucky break with Trumps merger stock the day he announced the new platform. Got in a $9 a share at 2k and sold at $120 for 16k the next morning. Wish i had put more but i had money tied up in mutual funds that currently i wish i had sold for the profit. Do you do investing advice or anything? Id love to pick your brain and get some insight on anything.
I know it probably doesn't mean much. But I hope that whenever you read this that your day is good. Regardless of whoever is reading this, I want everyone to be as happy as they can be. I've got a lot of doubt in my self but also a lot of hope, so I want to share my hope with others even if it's in a CZcams comment like this.
