I often get insecure because artists I see online seem so effortlessly talented, meanwhile I am helpless trash. It’s nice to be reminded that *artists ain’t shit without eyes.*
Depending on the type of art... A blind person is a fantastique musician in some cases. But in these cases, painter truly needs their eyes.
Some artists are not good without being well practiced... so you just need to practice.
Start with step one- shapes
Then move on to shadows
Then combine them
Effortless is incorrect. As an artist, it takes an immeasurable amount of effort but it’s all worth it in the end. Every artist you see started somewhere, don’t beat yourself up

Especially since he could've put the tape over the blindfold where his eyes were

To make it slightly less hard on yourself, you could have done the tutorial with audio only and no blindfold. But then we wouldn’t have gotten this treat of a hellscape, so....

That's basically the same but a little easier - he still wouldn't be able to see what Bob's doing but he would be able to see his colours in this instance. He shoulda done this idea first haha

This is absolutely brilliant. Just this Christmas (three weeks ago) I was playing a game with my teenage nieces which entailed drawing things while blindfold, a fun game but this video is brilliant and I will have to pass the link to my nieces now! I absolutely love your interpretation of Bob's work by pure audio instruction. Simply genius, and the resultant piece was a really cool, dark and moody impressionist scape. Very awesome to look at.
