    Thank you, Fr. for explaining. There are some who want to receive communion. I tell them that it is only for baptized catholics. ❤

      I thought you also needed to be in a state of grace to receive communion? No mortal sin?

    What about baptised Christians from other churches? I'm a Methodist

    • @DanielinLaTuna
      @DanielinLaTuna Před 8 dny

      Roman Catholic doctrine prohibits us from participating. But as Methodists we practice the Open Table. All Christians, including Orthodox, Roman, and Protestant are welcome.

    1 point I believe should also be stated is that the Eucharistic host must be received from the priests hand to our tongue's. As the priest's hands are blessed when they become ordained but if the host is placed upon the hand of the receiver it takes some of the blessing away from the Holy Eucharist given to us. We should be happy and grateful to receive our Lord and his blessing in this way.

    • @sgioba
      @sgioba Před 22 dny +4

      What you say is a personal interpretation. Where it is permitted by the local bishop, a person may receive on the tongue, or in the hand, as the first Christians did.

    • @kerbearlynch15
      @kerbearlynch15 Před 22 dny +1

      @@sgioba my point is that we are supposed to receive it upon our tongue's. It's taught in the Catholic religion to receive it on the tongue due to the priests hands being blessed as they're ordained. When we make our first communions we are taught to hold our hands in prayer as we walk up to the priest, and recieve the Eucharist via our tongue's. That is how we are supposed to recieve the Eucharist. I don't know how it's done in the Christian religion but I know the proper way in the Catholic religion is via the tongue.
