    Great video, I just inherited a model 27-2 from my uncle who passed away Wednesday. I'd give all my firearms up to have him back.

    With the model 27 being an N frame and having that long barrel recoil looks to be pretty light even with full power 357’s. I have a S&W 586-8 with a 6” barrel that I bought new in 2017. One of my favorites to shoot. Gotta love the versatility of 357 and 38.

    I have a 27-2 five inch barrel made in 1975 with the original box and tools. I've never shot it because of its flawless condition. I also have a 28-2 Highway Patrolman that sees the gun range a few times a year. Those N frame .357s are so accurate and such a pleasure to shoot. Very nice example you have! Thanks for the video.

    Smith & Wesson, the original makers of the .357, you have a beautiful specimen. With that barrel length, I'll bet it's spot on.

      It’s shoots ver accurately. I have a video coming out soon with some long range shots. The long barrel takes away a lot of the recoil too.

    I just managed to score a blued Python built in 1978. Comparing it to my M27 from the same year, the M27 has a better balance, more natural grip, and IMO a better action. Love the python, of course. But people really seem to sleep on the M27.

    I just bought the same near mint model with 3.5 in barrel in the original box. Personally, I think the mod 27 is the most aesthetically beautiful revolver ever made.

    What is the difference in number variants? For example, 27-2 v. 27-9. Is that just years of production?

    • @FlyingKSports
      @FlyingKSports  Před rokem +1

      The first number is the model number. The second number indicates a change in the features or construction. Model 27 is the first version. 27-1 had a change in something, sights, grip, safety, etc.
