    Items you missed --> REAR SEAT Folds FLAT (nice for Dogs...and Coolers, etc). BED (Wheel Wells) is WIDER...Plywood Sheets now fit between them. Also, the CABIN SOUND is "quieter" due to the new "Sound Barrier" auto-glass being used in the 2024 Ranger. The RIDE is better due to the additional 2" WIDTH and additional 2" WHEEL BASE...plus the placement of the REAR SHOCKS on the outer portion of the Frame.

    It’s confusing when you compare the 2024 Lariat with the previous model XLT because some of the items being pointed out in the new one (push button start for example) was available in the previous Lariat model.

      It won't. Tacoma is Toyotas F-150. However Ranger is really good.

    • @kennetho5393

      I don't think Ford has the capacity to exceed the Tacoma. The Ranger is only built at one plant in Michigan and shares production capacity with the Bronco. The Tacoma has full production at a plant in Mexico and I think can be built with the Tundra in San Antonio if needed.

    • @chrispnw2547

      The market is so different these day. In many markets in the U.S. the Tacoma is being discounted by dealers and NO additional sticker. I think/hope the Ranger grows in market share as the F150 has gotten more expensive and is a bit too large for many.

    The new Ranger is way better looking. I don't care for the new extended vertical center stack screen. Half that size with some physical buttons and controls for the hvac would have sufficed. I love the addition of the 2.7 especially if you tow and haul cargo and people often. The biggest issue is the scandalous asking price 😮 ✌🏽🇺🇲

    Would love to own either if i has the money. I say the old one for me would be more worth it. Love both in extior design, however the interior of the older one is nicer due to the smaller screen i hate big screens and that every new vehicle is over the top with tech. The old one being a little smaller wouldnt bother me as i want a smaller truck anyways. For the price and size of the new one you might as well buy an f150

      LOL I have a new Chevy Colorado Trail Boss, these are midsize trucks, I’m 5’9 and have plenty of room, this guys 6’2 and still has good room, are you 7 ft, I use to ride in the back of my new 02 Silverado extended cab that I still own and my Colorado is way way more roomier, way better to have a very roomy rear seat than a longer bed that won’t hardly get used,,it blows my mind when people complain how small the rear seats are, they aren’t small at all! These are big midsize trucks, compare these trucks to midsize S10s and 80s 90s Rangers!

    That model is 50K US before any dealer convenience fees where I live. It seems like a lot for what it is. While they are two totally different classes of vehicles, my challenger RT SP 1320 was cheaper, but it's a hell of a lot more fun than a 4 door car with an open trunk. I think vehicle manufacturers are starting to run into the limits of their greed. Inventory is piling up and they don't understand why.

  • @barbmelle3136
    @barbmelle3136 Před 2 měsíci +3

    The new one is a whole lot bigger than the original, the bed is shorter and the price tag is in the $45,000 range. Why did ford abandon the 1990's version that was a great truck, and sold like crazy because they were affordable?

    • @housepianist
      @housepianist Před 2 měsíci +1

      Competition. If they start making larger mid-size trucks (Tacoma’s, Xterra, Canyon, etc) with more features and amenities, Ford is bound to do the same. However, with the popularity of the F150, which was selling like crazy every year, Ford just decided to put their resources in that so the Ranger just languished and discontinued for a time.

    • @seruresto1386
      @seruresto1386 Před 2 měsíci +2

      EPA regulations are largely responsible in USA. Vehicles get judged on different standards based on wheelbase and size. I've read that in order for a truck the size of the old Ranger to meet modern regulations, it would have to be capable of getting something like 45-50mpg. Which of course isn't possible with the tech we have.

    • @barbmelle3136
      @barbmelle3136 Před 2 měsíci +1
